Wars And Rumors Of Wars

Up, Up And Away In My Beautiful Balloon

It’s been a weird week in the news with the white balloons floating across the Americas which China admits is theirs and they deny they are anything other than used for a weather experiment. The Pentagon of course deny that story but are not willing to take any actions other than keep a watching eye on it because shooting it down could pose a safety risk from falling debris. Theories abounded that it was just for surveillance to it had a nuclear device that could facilitate an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack, an attack that could disable all electric devices in that area. More questions keep coming up as another balloon was detected over Latin America which the Pentagon acknowledged they are watching. As the balloon continues to fly over the United States its path appears to find it going over areas with military importance. Nothing to see here, folks.

And About That War In Ukraine

It’s a strange world where Russia wants peace talks and Ukraine doesn’t. And yet, that’s where we’re at as these two countries continue to fight each other. Of major concern is that Russia keeps threatening to use nuclear weapons if certain lines are crossed. That would appear to be good time to negotiate any kind of halting of the fighting, but Ukraine and its leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy refuse to back down. And our good folks in Washington, DC continue to send boatloads of money and now tanks to help the Ukrainians push back against Vladimir Putin and the Russian forces. Many are saying that we are heading for another Cold War over this war while others are calling this another Afghanistan, a war we can’t win. As a side issue, some are complaining about all the money being sent by America as it is untraceable much like the funds sent to Afghanistan. If you looked up the definition of the word “quagmire” you’d find a picture of Ukraine there.

And China Is Getting Involved

How you ask? Well, if their goal is to take America down which any same person can see is their plan, part of their strategy is to get us involved in multiple wars, three or four would be best. Optimally having our military engaged with troops would divide us on many fronts and would add to the financial burden we are placing on ourselves right now. Is China directly involved? Perhaps, but we know that they are certainly encouraging the involvement by the United States in conflicts and know that if they add themselves to the fray, it could very well accomplish our weakening as intended. It is a shrewd plan and without divine intervention, I believe their plans will work. If as some say, we will be at war with China by 2025 according to a high ranking general in a memo obtained by NBC News. Here is an excerpt from that news article dated January 27th of this year:

A four-star Air Force general sent a memo on Friday to the officers he commands that predicts the U.S. will be at war with China in two years and tells them to get ready to prep by firing "a clip" at a target, and "aim for the head."

In the memo sent Friday and obtained by NBC News, Gen. Mike Minihan, head of Air Mobility Command, said, “I hope I am wrong. My gut tells me will fight in 2025.”

Air Mobility Command has nearly 50,000 service members and nearly 500 planes and is responsible for transport and refueling.

Minihan said in the memo that because both Taiwan and the U.S. will have presidential elections in 2024, the U.S. will be “distracted,” and Chinese President Xi Jinping will have an opportunity to move on Taiwan.

More Rumors Of Wars

And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. (Matt 24:6, NASB)

The Greek word for “rumors” is exactly what you would think it would be, so nothing more can be found about this passage there. However, we need to remember who this verse was directed at and that was the Jews and Jesus was telling them when you hear about wars concerning you, don’t be alarmed since the end wasn’t going to happen just yet. In this light, any conflict that is mentioned about the destruction of Israel must be given attention and, believe it or not, with Iran aligning with both China and Russia, anything that affects them, affects Israel. And as we discussed the war of Gog and Magog, both Iran and Russia are mentioned. So, you see these conflicts are important to the Jews. And since both Iran and Russia control the flow of natural gas to major parts of the world including Europe, when Israel attacks Iran’s natural gas production plants as they just did, people notice. Retaliation is rumored, but we’ll see how this plays out. Rumors of war are indeed occurring.

Concerning Yes, Alarming, No

On this point we need to remember that Jesus told the early church to watch, but not be alarmed. And although we weren’t the target audience for the Olivet Discourse, we can glean something from the timeline noted. This world is seeing many prophecies fulfilled and the pace is picking up. While there are many who just see things happening now as in past times and there is nothing special about what we are seeing, there a whole host of differences. The signs for a one-world government are not being hidden anymore and these leaders are acting as if no one or nothing can stop them from taking over even nations that have resisted in the past. People are willing to give up security and freedom for safety as the past few years have shown us. Technology can now easily make the mark of the beast a reality as predicted in Revelation 13 and a strong delusion is taking shape, even in the body of Christ. This is the time to be praying more, preaching more and soul-winning more. Will China play more of role than we thought? It looks that way, but the Bible definitely points to definable nations like Russia and Iran (Persia) and we need go no further to make those connections. Let us look up, because our redemption is drawing nigh.
