Trump Cites Kim Clement

As we know, US President Donald Trump really likes social media. Going back to his days as a candidate for the 2016 presidential election when he embraced Twitter until they kicked off until today where he created his own channel, Truth Social, Trump posts incessantly and at all hours of the day. But yesterday, March 9th he posted an audio clip from the late prophetic voice Kim Clement and it caught fire online. Of course, it mentions what appears to be direct references to Trump. In an article from Charisma Magazine we read more on this prophetic firestorm:

President Donald Trump isn’t merely part of prophetic fulfillment—he appears to be actively engaging with the prophetic itself. In a post to Truth Social, President Donald Trump did something unexpected. He shared a video of prophetic words recorded in 2007 from the late Kim Clement which were about Trump’s future in the White House.

As anyone who followed Clement I can tell you that he was stunningly accurate. The article reaffirms that:

For many believers who follow prophetic ministry, Clement’s words have long circulated in Christian circles as a striking prediction about who would one day rise to the highest office in the United States. However, Trump’s decision to highlight the prophecy himself has renewed interest in what the late prophet said nearly two decades ago.

With President Trump acknowledging Clement publicly it makes us wonder who pointed to him to this clip and why he wanted us to notice it as well. Videos of Trump being prayed over in the Oval Office are trending now, too. He certainly isn’t afraid to allow this and worship times in the White House, too. Now we need to add these prophetic words to the mix.

Biblical Activity Abounding

The author then explores the actual prophecies starting with the media:

In the message, Clement described a moment when God would move in unusual ways within the cultural and media landscape.

“This that shall take place shall be the most unusual thing—a transfiguration, a going into the marketplace, into the news media, where Time Magazine will have no choice but to say what I want them to say. Newsweek will say what I want them to say. The View will say what I want them to say.”

Clement then revealed the Donald Trump would live up to this name:

The video then highlighted what would become one of Clement’s most widely quoted statements.

“Trump shall become a trumpet,” says the Lord. “Trump shall become a trumpet. I will raise up Trump to become a trumpet.”

Trump’s already prominent voice would be even more prominent:

Clement suggested that this figure would become a voice that would resonate far beyond politics. According to prophecy, the individual would be used as an instrument—like a trumpet—to sound a message that would reverberate throughout the nation.

He Will Change In Office

But the prophecies about the man himself and his spiritual changing were even more intriguing:

Clement also spoke of spiritual themes surrounding leadership, prayer and transformation in office.

“It shall come to pass that the man I place in the highest office shall go in whispering My name. But God says when he enters into the office, he will be shouting out by the power of the Spirit. For I shall fill him with My Spirit when he goes into office.”

Let’s put a pin in that being filled with the Holy Spirit for now. Clement then notes that we will have a praying president, but not in a conventional way because we know that presidents have been known to pray going all the way back to George Washington:

Clement also described what he believed would be a spiritual dynamic surrounding the future president—someone who would not initially appear to be a conventional religious figure.

“There will be a praying man in the highest seat in your land. There will be a praying president—not a religious one. But I will fool the people,” says the Lord.

The view of this future leader would be that he would be hot blooded, but we really don’t know what that really means. But this man would protect America and shape its economy:

He also addressed the criticisms and perceptions that would surround this leader.

“The one that is chosen shall go in and they shall say, ‘He has hot blood.’ For the Spirit of God says yes, he may have hot blood, but he will bring the walls of protection on this country in a greater way.”

Clement further prophesied rapid change within the nation’s economic landscape during this leadership season.

“And the economy of this country shall change rapidly,” says the Lord of hosts.

Serving Two Terms

This part was bandied about by me and many others after the 2020 election because we tried to see how it could happen, but Clement put it out there. The prophetic word returns to how he will change while in the office and reiterates how God will change him spiritually:

Perhaps one of the most well-known of Clement’s prophecies is about a transformation that would take place after the leader entered office.

“Listen to the word of the Lord: I will put at your helm for two terms a president that will pray. But he will not be a praying president when he starts. I will put him in office, and then I will baptize him with the Holy Spirit and My power,” says the Lord of hosts.

So twice Clement heard that who we believe is Donald Trump will be filled with the Holy Spirit and even baptized with the Holy Spirit. And now the man himself is wanting us to revisit these words. That makes me wonder and then ponder it. And more importantly, the implications of a Pentecostal president in the Oval Office right now.

Is President Trump A Pentecostal?

I ask that because we know that he has at least one Pentecostal on his White House Faith Council. Paula White-Cain is not ashamed of being a person who speaks in tongues and according to many she has an important part in her role as senior advisor. Trump obviously is comfortable with her leading this group since she was a part of his first term. So, did he accept Jesus and now has he been baptized in the Holy Spirit as Clement prophesied? Could we have a leader of the free world who prays in a prayer language? I don’t think I’m stretching when I saw that because the prophetic word is pretty specific. Clement is no stranger to this and he used wording that can’t really be viewed any other way. I know there will be many who are loathe to the gift of speaking in tongues and will do everything they can to twist and torture this prophecy to say it means something different. They will also attack Clement himself by saying he’s been wrong and is therefore a false prophet. I’ve seen this line of attack over and over again. But since President Trump brought it up, I’m exploring this not for clicks, but for the astounding prospect of a man who prays in tongues when serving in office. It boggles my mind, but it also excites me. That being said, the article does conclude with what we should always do with these prophecies:

While prophetic words must always be tested against Scripture and discerned carefully, moments like this remind believers that God often works in ways that defy conventional expectations. Throughout the Bible, the Lord repeatedly raised up unlikely figures—from shepherds to kings—to accomplish His purposes in times of national crisis. God’s plans rarely move according to human timelines. Yet, for those watching closely, the intersection of faith, leadership and prophecy surrounding Trump and Clement’s words serves as a reminder that heaven’s purposes can sometimes echo through the most unexpected voices—like the sounding of a trumpet calling a nation to attention.

And being baptized in the Holy Spirit.
