Israel At War Day 680
God Is In The Details
Getting Closer
As negotiators scramble to get a hostage deal in place the Israel Defense Force continues to move closer to taking back Gaza City as we read in a report from The Jerusalem Post:
IDF soldiers from the 99th Division began operating in the Zeitun area, located on the outskirts of Gaza City, for the first time since the new operations to occupy the city were announced, the IDF said this Friday.
One facet of their work is to clean up the area by finding military bombs among other things:
The military said that soldiers are working to locate explosives, eliminate terrorists, and dismantle terrorist infrastructure above and below ground. As part of their activity, Israeli forces struck and dismantled a booby-trapped structure that stored weapons.
It is a coordinated effort as the IAF is identifying targets from above for the forces on the ground to take out:
The Israeli Air Force is also operating in the area in coordination with the troops in the field, striking military targets and terrorists, the military added.
One tunnel was sealed up just southeast of Gaza City:
Earlier on Friday, a 7 km.-long tunnel in the Beit Hanun area of the Gaza Strip was sealed today after a four-week-long operation led by the Southern Command’s Engineering Corps troops, the IDF announced on Friday.
It was a massive undertaking, but one that cut off another entry into the targeted area:
"The operations involved pumping more than 20,000 cubic meters of sealing material through a dedicated system established along approximately 4.5 kilometers - from the border area near Netiv HaAsara to the heart of the underground tunnel route," the statement read.
The Hamas fighters in the area were severely hampered by the operation:
The military said this operation resulted in significant damage to the Beit Hanun Battalion and its operational defeat.
All of this shows that while Hamas stalls in negotiations trying to look like they are compromising by seemingly accepting the old partial deal offered by the US, the IDF is tightening the noose on the last strongholds the terrorists have. At the same time Israel is saying that the next deal will release all the hostages all at one time. Israel says it wants to end the war with the same deal and I agree it will because all the other Iranian proxies will attack one last time when it looks like it will happen. And if by chance they actually do release all those still held in captivity they will have effectively lost the war. In reality the talks are just a way for all sides to get more frequent flier miles and expense their meals and places where they stay. It amounts to a fancy tourist trip and nothing more. And all the while Gaza becomes less Hamas and more Israeli.
South Sudan Update
We’re told in a report from i24news.tv that the move to relocate Gazans to South Sudan is not just talk:
South Sudan and Israel are in talks regarding a deal to resettle Gazans wishing to depart the war-ravaged enclave in the African nation, Reuters cited three sources with knowledge of the matter as saying. The Friday report appeared to contradict South Sudan's foreign ministry's earlier claims that reports of the plan were "baseless."
That’s not the case according to multiple sources:
The three sources told Reuters the prospect of resettling Palestinians in South Sudan was raised during meetings between Israeli officials and South Sudanese Foreign Minister Monday Semaya Kumba when he visited the country last month.
I’m certain that Kumba wasn’t just in Israel to sight see:
News of the discussions was first reported last week by the Associated Press, citing six people with knowledge of the matter.
Once activist thinks it could happen:
While Palestinian and Arab leaders have rejected the idea of moving Gaza's population to any country, Palestinian activist Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib told i24NEWS on Thursday that most Gazans would gladly flee the chaotic and perilous war zone provided they could eventually return, preferably to a Gaza under a rule different to the Hamas terror regime.
He did add that some statements are making the idea harder to swallow, though:
However, he added, the matter was rendered more complicated by the fear among Arab leaders to be seen as complicit with Israel as well as by some ill-judged statements by the hardliners in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
You can watch the video interview on the X profile for i24news.tv. Hamas has to be taken out of the picture first. But from the view of Bible prophecy they will leave, but they won’t come back as Gazans or have a land of their own. They say that the devil is in the details, but in this case God is in the details.
