Israel At War Day 633

Say It Ain’t So

Enriching Again?

According to the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Iran can enrich uranium in a few months as we see in a report from the Jewish News Syndicate:

Despite damage from U.S. and Israeli airstrikes, Iran likely will be able to enrich uranium “in a matter of months,” U.N. nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi said in an interview with CBS News on Saturday.

“The capacities they have are there …, a few cascades of centrifuges spinning and producing enriched uranium, or less than that,” Grossi told CBS’s “Face the Nation” program. “Frankly speaking, one cannot claim that everything has disappeared and there is nothing there.”

Grossi just wants to let the world that the program is not completely gone:

While noting that his International Atomic Energy Agency does not make military evaluations, Grossi said that “it is clear that there has been severe damage, but it’s not total damage” following the airstrikes.

The Islamic Republic also retains its “industrial and technological capacities,” Grossi emphasized, saying that the regime could start enriching uranium again, “if they so wish.”

He raised a question others have asked concerning the enriched uranium stockpile before the attacks:

Another key question that remains is whether Iran was able to relocate some or all of its estimated 900-pound stockpile of highly enriched uranium before the U.S. military struck three of its nuclear facilities. The uranium in question had been enriched to 60%, a short technical step away from 90% weapons-grade.

Grossi told CBS on Saturday: “We don’t know where this material could be. Some could have been destroyed as part of the attack, but some could have been moved, so there has to be at some point a clarification. If we don’t get that clarification, this will continue to be hanging, you know, over our heads as a potential problem,” the IAEA chief warned.

He like others want to inspect Iran again to verify things and he wants any talks to bring that up:

Grossi in the interview urged Tehran and Washington to resume nuclear talks, while stressing that the Islamic regime should allow his agency to send inspectors to inspect the sites damaged during the 12-day war.

Grossi sees now as a chance to fully end Iran’s nuclear program despite cutting ties with them:

“We have to go back to the table and have a technically sound solution to this. Otherwise, this will come hit us again, in terms of a situation which is not well clarified. And this is an opportunity,” Grossi said. “The achievement can continue indefinitely if Iran does not get access to nuclear material,” continued the report, the conclusions of which were published by the Prime Minister’s Office shortly after the White House shared them with reporters in Washington on Wednesday morning.

Iran’s parliament has voted to halt its already shaky relationship with the IAEA, while lawmakers are working on legislation that could lead to Tehran leaving the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

Still Dropping Like Flies

While everyone is watching Iran and the hostage talks, the IDF just keeps mowing terrorist’s down as we’re told in an article from The Epoch Times:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on June 27 that it had eliminated one of the founders of Hamas and two key Hezbollah terrorists over the past two days.

The IDF confirmed that one of the founders of Hamas and the current head of combat support headquarters in Hamas’s military wing, Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa, was eliminated in the Sabra area of Gaza City on June 27 during a joint activity with the Israeli Security Agency.

“Issa played a significant role in the planning and execution of the brutal October 7th massacre,” the IDF stated. ”Throughout the war, and over the past few days, Issa served as Head of the Combat Support Headquarters, and advanced aerial and naval terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip.”

He’s one of the last men standing with Hamas and affirmed that Israel will take out all of them:

Issa was one of the last senior Hamas terrorists remaining in the Gaza Strip who held a high-ranking position before the Oct. 7, 2023, attack.

The IDF reaffirmed its commitment to working with the Israeli Security Agency to find and eliminate all of the terrorists from the various organizations that played a part in the Oct. 7, 2023, attack.

And they’re taking out Hezbollah terrorist as well:

It also confirmed that on June 28, it eliminated Hezbollah terrorists Abbas Al-Hassan Wahbi and Hassan Muhammad Hammoudi. Wahbi, the IDF stated, was a terrorist “responsible for intelligence in Hezbollah’s ‘Radwan Force’ Battalion,” who was eliminated near Mahrouna in southern Lebanon.

“The terrorist was involved in efforts to rebuild Hezbollah and weapons transfers,” the IDF explained. ”These activities constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”

Hammoudi was “responsible for Hezbollah’s anti-tank missile array in the Bint Jbeil sector,” directing multiple anti-tank missile attacks toward Israel. He was eliminated near Kounine, Lebanon.

Hezbollah and Hamas are now the targets again now that Israel and Iran aren’t fighting:

News of the strikes was released as Israel returns its main military focus to wiping out Hamas, rescuing all of the remaining hostages in the Gaza Strip, and defeating Hezbollah in southern Lebanon after the 12-day war with Iran ended with a major strike by U.S. forces and a cease-fire.

“Iran has taken a heavy blow,” IDF Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir said on June 27. “There is a possibility that the strike on Iran will advance our objectives in Gaza.

“We will continue to act with determination in order to achieve the two main objectives of the war—the return of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas,” he added.

We need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and factor in how the direction of the IDF changes according to the shifting war fronts. And petition Heaven to confuse Israel’s enemies when Israel changes their focus. I know that we will, but it never hurts to remind ourselves of how this war ebbs and flows.
