The Head Of The Snake

In the current war in Israel it is well known that Iran is the puppeteer who is pulling all the strings of its proxies fighting against Israel. And it should also be said that recent attacks by Israel have greatly reduced Iran’s power and has them reeling both militarily and politically. The country is seeing growing unrest rising against the current regime even with turmoil in its leadership in the handling of nuclear talks with the US. Calls leaders of Israel are divided on how to handle the Iranian threat as well. But just about everybody apart from Iran and its supporters don’t want a nuclear Iran. All that being said I want to center on how the current war ends in relation to the Iranians with a little look head to a future threat of Iran after that, specifically the War of Gog and Magog. You see Iran or Persia as it’s called in the Bible just keeps showing up in prophecy and as such we need to keep putting the prophetic puzzle pieces together as best we can if only to get a clearer view of things. While you may see things differently, I see us living in the last of the last days and end of the end times right now. It’s amazing to actually be living in Biblical times like this where the logic behind prophecies begin to make more and more sense. As I’ve done in the previous three podcasts and really two previous updates on how the current war in Israel ends I’m taking into account the newest information to get a clearer view of things. And right now the nation of Iran is front and center.

It's All About The Nukes

With the negotiations with Iran and the US still happening of course I’ll address this now. Personally I really don’t see a deal happening and neither does Israel. But for some reason the doves in the Trump administration are singing louder than the hawks. Trump has for his part has heralded himself as someone who ends wars and not starts them so the current nuclear talks aren’t out of the ordinary. But at some point the stalling by Iran on this issue should allow the hawks to prevail and really, I think setup Bible prophecy. You see Iran or Biblical Persia will be seen in relation to attacking Israel in the future at least one more time and that is the aforementioned War of Gog and Magog. And from current events view, Iran having nuclear weapons will not make things easier for Israel in ending this war nor will it make America safer either. And I do see in Jeremiah 49:34-39 I see Israel addressing at least the southern part of Iran’s nuclear capacity:

This is the Word of the Lord which came to Jeremiah the man of God about Elam, at the beginning of the rule of King Zedekiah of Judah, saying, 35 “The Lord of All says, ‘I will break the bow of Elam, the best of their strength. 36 I will bring the four winds to Elam from the four ends of heaven. And I will have these winds send them everywhere. There will not be a nation to which the people sent out of Elam will not go. 37 I will fill Elam with fear in front of those who hate them and want to kill them. I will bring much trouble upon them, even My burning anger,’ says the Lord. ‘I will send the sword after them until I have destroyed them. 38 Then I will set My throne in Elam, and will destroy their kings and leaders,’ says the Lord. 39 ‘But in the last days I will return the people of Elam to their land,’” says the Lord. Without going into to too many details, the Elam spoken about here is now fully in current day Iran and is the home to the Bushehr nuclear power plant and close to a uranium mine in Gachin. This would fit nicely into these verses.

But What About The Rest?

Those who don’t see these verses as prophetic point out and rightly so, that taking out these sites won’t end Iran’s nuclear program since they have two other uranium mines and four other nuclear sites along with three research reactors and one military site left. And that is where I add my perspective. Just because Elam is mentioned doesn’t preclude Israel hitting other sites and it doesn’t mean Israel won’t get help from say the US. In light of current chatter we read this from the US Ambassador to Israel in an article in CBN.com:

America's new ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, told the conference Monday that if Iran won't definitively abandon the pursuit of nuclear weapons, President Trump "won't be dragged into a war, he'll lead it."

"I think the President has been as clear as any political figure in history as saying there will be no holding back, and those were his words, those are his policies," Huckabee observed.

That’s not mixed signals, that’s the reality for Iran and it’s the right thing to say because Iran thrives in gray areas and needs firm statements like these to know the consequences of not destroying their nuclear program. Prophetically I see Iran’s short term fate being emasculated by a military strike from Israel and maybe America. Allow me to elaborate.

What Will Happen Now?

I’ve laid out what I see as happening based in Jeremiah 49 to name a few parts and while I’ve always felt that an all-out assault on Israel would happen headed by Iran I thought that the Iranians would be attacking from a position of strength. Now I see them hitting an Israel from a position of desperation and saving face. In some ways this makes them and their proxies more dangerous. You know, the cornered animal example? It could explain their mad rush to get nuclear weapons. And further down the road it could explain why they enlist the help of the War of Gog and Magog coalition of nations as seen in Ezekiel 38 since they will be devastated by their strength of nuclear armaments being set back when Israel and perhaps the US take them out. Iran cannot get their hands on nukes for various reason. One, it would cause other Middle Eastern countries to rush to get them like Saudia Arabia. That would destabilize the whole region. Second, it would be a global threat as the Iranians are working loading them on Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM), missiles that could cross continents and oceans. Remember that they call Israel the small Satan and America the Big Satan. And thirdly, just having the ability to use them in the region would tip the balance of power with its now shattered and beleaguered axis of resistance of Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis and more. Think of what they can say when these puppets attack Israel. Iran could threaten to use them if Israel wants to respond. As for Russia getting in the fray, well they would owe Iran for supplying them with military weapons to help in the Ukrainian war so maybe that is the hook in their jaw. Overall, I see the potential of fireworks coming next. Do I want to be right? I would rather a less lethal solution can be found. The casualties of such warfare will not be small and innocents will be in harm’s way for all sides. But the terrorist mindset of going out in a blaze of glory and their pride mitigates against a peaceful end to this fighting.
