President Trump steps to the microphone tonight, Thursday, July 16, at 9 p.m. Eastern, for a primetime address to the nation - the White House announced the speech on July 13, giving Americans a few days to brace for it, according to USA TODAY's coverage. The backdrop is heavy: renewed tension with Iran, a midterm election season that could flip the balance of power in Congress, two deadly ICE-related shootings in the news cycle, and the recent death of the president's ally, Senator Lindsey Graham. When radio host Hugh Hewitt pressed him for a preview, the president kept it simple, comparing tonight to his recent Mount Rushmore and National Mall speeches marking America's 250th birthday - "just...like a lot of my speeches," he said. No confirmed topic list yet, but election integrity, the economy, and the administration's foreign policy posture toward Iran are the safe bets. That's the natural side of the story. Here's the supernatural side - what the prophetic voices we track on this program have been saying about this president, his protection, and his purpose, in the weeks leading up to tonight.

Julie Green: A Steady Word Through the Summer

In April, on her ministry's channel, Green released a word titled "A Great Shaking Spiritually in the White House Is Coming," tying it to scriptures like Daniel 2:21 and 1 Samuel 17, and declaring that God is working and moving in President Trump's heart. Green has kept up a near-weekly release of these "prophetic word update" broadcasts through mid-July, each one framing current headlines as confirmation of what she says she heard months earlier. The one from July 5th notes that Trump knows all about this against him:

You have seen politicians be exposed for little things. Now it will begin to grow. But what their puppet masters do not know is (that) My David already has a plan that I have given to take out every architect, every big fish, all the ones hiding behind the secret societies, and all those who hide under the radar and behind closed doors. 

The word from April 3rd notes that Trump is becoming a different person:

Everywhere you look, (there) are treasonous traitors that will be removed, but first, My David will know Me in a different way. He will see My truth like never before. He will feel My Glory, and My Glory will fill him. Yes, those who have kept (from him) this power and revelation knowledge of My Word and Who I really am, will be exposed. There is also proof that some faith leaders in the White House have sabotaged and obstructed My chosen ones from meeting My David, in fear of them losing their positions, their popularity, and, of course, their finances. 

Green heard about a Red Sea moment coming in the word from July 5th as well:

This Red Sea moment is coming to set this nation completely free from every enemy, foreign and domestic. Your enemies will soon lose everything they have stolen from you and this nation. I will force out of their hands what is yours. It is time to see the real United States. It is time to experience true freedom. It is time to see real justice be served. A moment is coming that will set you completely free, says the Lord of Hosts.  As we’ll see, Amand Grace also sees that coming as well.

Amanda Grace: A Door Opening at the White House

Amanda Grace released one of her most detailed White House words on the eve of Passover this year, warning that the America First movement itself has been hijacked and weaponized against the president by outside interests, per Charisma Magazine's report. She described a prophetic door opening at the White House and the removal of whatever - or whoever - has been blocking it. More recently, as Trump made a rare visit to Camp David amid the Iran standoff, Grace drew a parallel to David facing Goliath, saying plainly, "this is a spiritual war before it's a physical war," according to Charisma's follow-up piece. Back in January, after Trump's appearance at Davos and his push for a Board of Peace as a rival to the UN Security Council, Grace had already sounded the alarm: "we need to pray for the safety of President Trump," she said, extending the request to his family and cabinet, as covered by Charisma's Davos recap. On another podcast she brought up a Red Sea moment which correlates to the word given to Green:

"Capitals, my word, says the Lord, by order of my court, shall go forth with might, power, and shall split the very ground beneath the feet of men. A Red Sea moment will bring global attention to my word, says the Lord…”

As see, God is speaking to His servants the prophets similar things. We should take note.

Hank Kunneman: Bringing America Back To God

Hank Kunneman's channel has carried a steady stream of "prophetic word" broadcasts on Trump through the spring and summer - warnings framed as red flags, hints of hidden truths coming out, and repeated references to a "shaking" the country should expect. The specifics shift broadcast to broadcast, but the throughline is consistent with what we've tracked from Kunneman before: a sense that something is about to surface publicly that has been building underneath the current news cycle. In a word from God on February 2nd of this year Kunneman addressed Trump specifically and how Trump is asking God how he can bring America back to God:

And there is one, there is one among you that has prayed, that has cried out to me in simplicity in the innocence of their heart. And I have listened to this one that I speak of, and I have heard their prayer in the earth, and they have prayed, and they have even knelt before me, and they have draped themselves in the flag of you, the United States. This I speak, for this one has said, ‘God, how can I bring the United States closer to you again?’ And I speak of Donald Trump, says the living God, he has prayed, he has spoken to me, yet men have despised him, and they have looked to indict him, and some who bear my name say they cannot choose him. The Spirit of God says, because you have not been walking with him you have not heard his prayers and you have not known his heart. But I, the Lord God knows his heart and I have anointed him at this time.

Troy Black: Pray For Trump’s Health

Troy Black's output on Trump has picked up noticeably since late May, with titles like "God Told Me What Trump Is About to Do," "God Showed Me an Assassination Attempt Disclosure Coming," and "God Showed Me What's Happening to Trump" landing every few days through early July. Black is consistent about one thing across nearly every post: he asks viewers to take the word to the Lord in prayer and test it against Scripture before running with it - a posture worth noting given how much volume he's putting out on this single subject right now. Specifically he is hearing that we need to pray for Trump’s health:

"And Lord, I just ask that you protect President Trump. I ask that you protect him in his health. And I just speak to his heart right now that it would be strong and healthy and that no disease and no injury and no permanent illness would be able to touch him in Jesus name until his time is complete on this earth until you've done all that you wanted to do…Lord, I thank you for the anointing you put on his life…I just ask Lord that you would help him to just have wisdom from heaven. Not his earthly wisdom, Lord. Not the wisdom of those around him... but rather that he would be hearing heavenly wisdom from you, Lord…Despite his faults and everything in between, Lord, and despite his wins and his losses and all those things, Lord, I just ask that you would use him, continue using him, you would protect him, that your hand would be there, not for his sake and not even for our sake, Lord."

Black was very careful to advise us to not idolize Trump and that the Bible is clear we need to pray for him whether we like him or not. That’s why I respect Black. He’s humble and always backs whatever he releases with Scripture.

The Anointing and the Call to Prayer

Strip away the individual predictions and one theme runs under nearly all of it: these voices believe Trump is anointed, and they believe he needs covering. Green has said plainly that God is working and moving in President Trump's heart, and is quoted from one of her broadcasts where she framed his political survival in stark terms: "in God, nothing is impossible.” Hank Kunneman has used the word "anointed" for Trump for years. In one broadcast posted directly to his and his wife Brenda's own ministry site, Kunneman relayed what he described as the Lord's own words: "I have anointed him at this time." As heard earlier, Kunneman said "who has been through the fire that has been turned up seven times hotter" referring to the US President and adding that Trump would walk out without so much as the smell of smoke on him. Amanda Grace has made the prayer charge explicit rather than implicit. "We need to pray for the safety of President Trump," she said following his Davos appearance, extending that same covering to his family and cabinet, per Charisma's Davos recap. It's the same instinct behind Julie Green's repeated "God's David" language for this president - protection first, vindication second. And Troy Black adds the call to pray for Trump as well. A Red Sea moment, a burning furnace moment, and a health moment.

Praying Before the Podium

Whatever tonight's address holds, and whatever any of these prophetic voices turn out to get right or wrong, Scripture gives believers a job that doesn't depend on any of them being correct: pray for those in authority. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 instructs us to make intercession for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us the king's heart is in the Lord's hand, turned wherever He wishes. That's the anchor - not any single prophet's track record, and not tonight's headlines, but the God who was already ruling before either one.
