She Says The President Texts Her Every Day
The clip making the rounds this week is from prophetess Kat Kerr, who has told audiences for years that she has a direct line to President Trump. Her claim is making the rounds and I listened to it in a YouTube video today. This was from after Trump was elected, but before the inauguration. Kerr started by telling that the current US President talked to her right before the assassination attempt on him in Butler, PA:
I know President Trump well, and he knows me. He contacts me almost every day to hear what God’s going to say. I don’t know if you’ve heard this, but it is true. He doesn’t mind me saying it.
The day that he was shot in the ear, 20 minutes before he was shot, he contacted me from the platform where he was seated. He asked, “Is there anything else I need to know from Him for the people to know? Is there something they need to know? Let me know. What is it?”
I said, “This is a word from God for you: No matter what happens to you today, don’t let fear interfere in your life. Do not be afraid. No matter what it is, I have your back. I will cover you. I have plans for you, so run your race. Don’t ever surrender, says your God.”
Amazingly, it could have played a part in how he responded just after he was hit in the ear:
Twenty minutes later, he was shot. Why do you think he lifted his hands up and went, “Fight, fight, fight”? Because he knew who protected him. One-half of an inch—if he had not turned his head, he would have been dead. But he knew because that word was given. He knew who protected him.
Still In Touch
Kerr then relates how the two stayed in contact after that fateful day:
For the next 10 days, all Trump kept texting me was, “Fear not. Fear not. Fear not. Fear not. Fear not. Fear not. Fear not.” He sent me the first “Fear Not” mug and the first “Fear Not” T-shirt. I mean, everything that he’s put “Fear Not” on, he sent it to me. I have so many hats I could open my own store. He just sent me the Merry Christmas one. Oh, he gives them all to everybody. I said, “I don’t think they have this many.” I didn’t really ask for any, but I didn’t have to buy them.
She went on to state that she encouraged him to know who protected him then among other things:
I give him ideas about what to say. I tell him, “Make sure you recognize God.” And let me tell you what—he went and got the biggest Bible he could find. That insulted the left even more. They’re terrified that he’s not afraid. That’s right. He will openly say, “Jesus Christ kept my life.”
Kerr concluded her remarks by noting that Trump will be around for some time:
That’s right. And he knows he’s not going anywhere. So, I hope you like him. I’ve been invited to the inauguration. I’m really excited about being there. Amen.
Trump is a joker at heart and Kerr retells how he made an offer she could refuse:
He kept asking me if I wanted to be vice president, and I said, “No, thank you.”
Like, a lot. No, I’m not VP material.
If true, that’s a pretty interesting account. While I may not totally agree with her, it’s not a bad thing to have spiritual guidance in the Oval Office. Kerr isn’t the only Christian counseling Trump, though.
Other Believers With The President’s Ear
Kat Kerr is one of several voices tied to the president. Lance Wallnau, who first prophesied in 2016 that Trump would win the presidency, has cast him as a modern King Cyrus, anointed for the hour, and has remained one of the most influential figures connecting prophetic ministry to the Trump movement ever since. In an interview with CBS News, Wallnau described spending years building support for Trump among fellow evangelicals. Televangelist Paula White-Cain, Trump’s longtime spiritual adviser, holds an even more formal role. She was named director of the newly re-established White House Faith Office in a February 2025 executive order, and by May was in the Rose Garden reporting the office had already briefed or hosted more than a thousand religious leaders, according to Christianity Today. Whatever one makes of Kerr’s claims, Wallnau’s and White-Cain’s access to this administration is well documented and out in the open. But I would be remiss if I didn’t give you the Biblical precedent for prophetic voices in a leader’s cabinet.
The Biblical Case For Prophets In The White House
Scripture does not treat prophetic counsel to national leaders as strange - it treats it as normal, even valuable. Elisha warned the king of Israel of enemy troop movements before they happened (2 Kings 6:8-12). Daniel served as a trusted adviser to Babylonian and Persian kings for decades, interpreting dreams that shaped royal decisions. Nathan spoke directly and correctively to King David, and David listened (2 Samuel 12:1-13). When kings wanted to know what to do, they sought a true prophet - not because it was unusual, but because it was wise. Unfortunately there is modern examples of less than Christian influences in the US Presidency. Nixon leaned on Jeane Dixon, a psychic whose predictions reached the Oval Office through his secretary Rose Woods, according to an article from Newsweek.com. Nancy Reagan went further, working with astrologer Joan Quigley to time everything from summit meetings to Air Force One takeoffs, according to Reagan’s own chief of staff, as reported in an article from the Hollywood Reporter.
If a psychic and an astrologer could earn that kind of trust in two separate administrations, there is nothing strange about wanting genuine, Spirit-led prophetic voices doing the same for this one. If anything, it would be an upgrade - and having voices like Wallnau in the room, or White-Cain running an actual office for it, is a step in the right direction.
Test It, Don’t Dismiss It
Testing a word doesn't mean assuming the worst about the person carrying it. Kat Kerr comes across as sincere - someone who believes exactly what she's telling us, even if the details of her account can't be independently verified. Lance Wallnau isn't a fringe figure chasing attention; he's a successful businessman and a seasoned, Spirit-filled Pentecostal believer who spent decades in ministry before Trump ever entered politics. Paula White-Cain now runs an actual White House office. These are people who love this country and want to see God's hand on it.
Trump himself isn't exactly a pushover, and he's not known for flights of fancy or extremes - he's a shrewd negotiator who tends to keep people around him earning their place, not simply telling him what he wants to hear. That's exactly the kind of person who can afford to have strong prophetic voices close by. Still, wisdom says pay attention to the fruit over time, which is just good stewardship - both for him and for us as we watch it unfold. The right response to all of this isn't skepticism. It's prayer - for every man and woman of God who has this president's ear, that they'd keep speaking truth. And it's room - giving them space to speak into his life the way prophets always have with kings. That's not something to fear. That's something to hope for.
