So Many Predictions

It’s not like people want to tell us what the next year has in store for us. It’s almost a cottage industry. In the financial world some are seeing a strong one for 2026 as seen in an article from Barrons:

After being too pessimistic on the global economy for much of last year, investors may now be making the opposite mistake: underestimating how strong growth could be in 2026—and how quickly that strength could reignite inflation concerns.

If that sentence seems like they’re making sure they cover their tails, well they are. And lest we forget him, Nostradamus aficionados say that this year will see rivers of blood, plague of bees and death by lightning according to a headline seen in the New York Post. The article rightly notes that the old prophet didn’t fare too well in 2025:

In 2025, Nostradamus predicted an end to the conflict in Ukraine, a gigantic asteroid hitting Earth, the flooding of the Amazon and the rise of an aquatic empire.

The fighting in Ukraine hasn’t stopped, an asteroid didn’t hit the earth, and no aquatic empire emerged. But there was flooding in the Amazon early in 2025. Still, people seem to always give this dead guy room to be right. One psychic, who claims she predicted US President Trump’s victory in 2016 and the Covid-19 pandemic tells us that digital twins, flying taxis, and peace in Gaza and Ukraine will be seen this year. I guess we’ll see how she does since she predicts the war in Israel will end this month.

Bible Prophecy For 2026

I would be remiss if I didn’t take a peek at what some in the Bible prophecy movement are saying about this year. Joseph Z sees 2026 as being a year of the Lord’s divine glory and victory in this coming year.

He goes on to say this:

“I believe it’s a year of reclaiming,” says prophetic voice Joseph Z. “A year of recompense. A year of repayment. Psalm 126 represents the year 2026.”

He also sees Digital ID systems, global economic shifts, false flag warnings, and an escalating alien deception meant to distract the nations coming in 2026. Hank Kunneman says in a New Year’s prophecy that we’ll see a “year of the shift change” where existing conflicts—which the speaker notes are not always of God—will be used to bring about a “conquest.” This involves the toppling of generational strongholds and a divine “realignment” or “reset” of nations.

He then mentions a breakthrough in the Russia-Ukraine War, regime instability in Venezuela, tension but no immediate war for Taiwan, major upheaval in Iran and the Islamic regime, a “testy” North Korea met with rebuke, acceleration of prosecutions in the U.S., exposure of internal division in the Republican Party, a move of god among the youth and “recapturing” a generation, and the shaking of the “Asia Curtain” and “Islam.” I would suggest you listen to the video to get a better feel for this prophecy.

Previous Words

Although I haven’t asked for it, God has been giving me a word or words for the upcoming year. In 2024 the words were distraction and chaos. Looking back at that year we did see quite a bit of distractions in all areas of power. Just in the US presidential election cycle we saw a candidate step down just 6 months out. That alone was unprecedented all by itself and chaos came along with it. Distractions also abounded as the president was being propped up by others and on one hand he was said to be in great health in both body and mind and on the other hand his verbal and physical gaffes were undeniable. There were not only one but two assassination attempts on Donald Trump with a third being thwarted. Then in 2025 God said it would be a year of overcoming. That word in and of itself came with the specter of opposition and we saw that all year. US President Trump was sworn in and the warfare began against him. Every one of his cabinet picks were fought against unlike any process before. Ultimately all of them were approved even though they took longer than in current times. Another part of 2025 was that there would be internal challenges from infighting in the religious community. We saw that on topics like the Rapture, Israel, and Christians in politics. At the end of the year of 2025 respected evangelical leader Kirk Cameron changed his views on Hell. And we can’t forget the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk and the divide it caused in churches on how to talk about it and him. I think what God showed me happened and more. So, what is He telling me for 2026?

Two Words: Exposure

This word seems like an easy one since we’ve been praying for evil schemes to be exposed since 2020. Kunneman echoes this point in his prophetic word, but it’s hardly a new thing for those of us who have been praying for this to happen. Really, we’ve been frustrated by the plans of those against God since 2016, but the election of 2020 and the Covid-19 “plandemic” pushed things over the edge. I know I speak for many that it’s time for all those words to come to fruition in 2026. Trust me when I argued with God on this as it seemed too easy of a target and could very well be me in the flesh hoping beyond hope that the predicted landslide of exposure will finally happen. However, He assured me that the schemes that were foisted on us to control us would finally see the light of day. To be honest, we’ve seen quite a few things exposed in 2025, but it won’t be anything like the dam of information that will burst this coming year. And it won’t be just the US but from all over the globe. The Bible example He gave me was an interesting one. In 1 Kings 18:41 to 19:21 we see Elijah ending a three year drought followed by Jezebel putting a price on his head for the Mt. Carmel confrontation. She said this:

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow. (1 Kings 19:2, AMPC)

As it turned out, she got her wish as seen in 2 Kings 9:30-37. The prophetic community has been under fire for years over the many words about exposure and now the draught of fulfillment is over. And what the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good as the plans they had for Him and His servants will boomerang on them in 2026.

Two Words: Composure

If I fought against the first word, I really argued with God about this one. As I asked God for more on this, He told me to simply look up what the word meant. The word is defined this way from the Cambridge Dictionary as the feeling of being calm, confident, and in control. So, I wondered why the two words were paired for 2026. I took the next step and looked at what the word is seen in the Bible. In a commentary from the Bible Hub and it said this:

Composure refers to a state of calmness, self-control, and mental stability, especially in challenging or stressful situations. It is the ability to maintain peace and tranquility within oneself, regardless of external circumstances.

Scriptures were cited and one stood out to me in the context of great exposure and the massive upheaval it brings. The verse was Psalm 46:10. We usually read versions that tell us to be still and know that I am God, but one version, the NASB renders it this way:

Cease striving and know that I am God… (NASB)

I dug a little more and it essentially means to quit fighting against what God wants. That would take more than a tad of composure. Examples the commentary gave me were these:

Jesus Christ: Throughout His ministry, Jesus exemplified perfect composure, even in the face of persecution and crucifixion. His calm demeanor during trials and His ability to forgive His persecutors (Luke 23:34) serve as the ultimate model for believers.
Daniel: In the face of potential death in the lions' den, Daniel maintained his composure, trusting in God's deliverance (Daniel 6:10-23). His unwavering faith and calmness under pressure are celebrated as examples of godly composure.

Many of us over the last several years had to use this when all of these demonic schemes were foisted on us. Shutting down churches, having the FBI come after pro-life advocates in outlandish raids and even arresting some people for praying silently. And I haven’t even mentioned the plight of the J6ers. Well, all of that composure will be rewarded in 2026. However, there is another angle to contemplate. This same composure will be needed when people are held accountable and we will want to cheer for their exposure and judgment. Jesus actually prayed for those who were illegally charging Him and then killing Him. Yes, it will be nice to see the tables turned, but these people need Jesus and we need to pray for them when they have to face that justice. That my friends will take the kind of composure Jesus modeled for us.

So, Who’s Right?

When so many people in the prophetic community tell us that 2026 will see this or that we shouldn’t pit them against each other, which is easy to do. Like puzzle pieces on a table, they all have their places to fill. I see these predictions like the individual pieces being put on the table with them all fitting eventually to form what will happen this year. Sure, some might not be from God, but we can test them as we’re encouraged to do in 1 John 4:1. I fully expect the word I received from God to be tested as well. But let’s not just take one prophetic word and run with it to the exclusion of all the others. And I fully encourage you to seek a word from God for you individually. I was happy to see social media posts from friends and relatives reminiscing over what God revealed to them for 2025 and how things panned out. He is speaking all the time (see Ps 139:17-18) so we should discipline ourselves to listen more often. Time will tell who heard accurately from Him or not this year, but I commend these prophetic voices for being willing to hear from Him. When we get it right the praise goes to Him. And when we get it wrong, we need to find out why we missed it. In both cases we need to depend upon and look to our Creator for speaking to us and being the one who guides us. Every year brings its own challenges and I fully intend to let Him be there by my side to navigate it. And I pray you experience all He has for you regardless of the circumstances.
