One Man’s Opinion

When we talk about Israel and the ongoing war there, I like to see what noted Bible teacher, author, and former Israel Defense Force officer Amir Tsfarti thinks. In a December 2025 post on his Telegram channel, he gave his thoughts on what is coming in 2026:

Good morning from the Galilee. After 24 hours of cold and rain, December has arrived. My new book releases tomorrow, our Israel Bible Experience Tour begins Wednesday, and another year is rapidly drawing to a close.

He then mentions what he sees for him in 2026:

Next year is shaping up to be my busiest ever. Tours are back in full swing, new books are on the way (including fiction!), and I will be teaching on four continents. New conferences - Exploring Ezekiel and The Israel Decree - will join our established ones: Awaiting His Return, Revealing Revelation, and Discovering Daniel. We are also launching new initiatives for young adults, two major cruises in Alaska and Norway, and many other significant events.

If you can, I would highly advise you to see him in person, Then Amir talks about the coming year:

Geopolitically, time is short. The world is spiraling downward, confusion is spreading, and deception is multiplying at an alarming rate. Additional military operations are expected in Iran and Lebanon to stop the satanic plots against Israel, and tensions will only intensify as election year approaches in both Israel and the United States.

With US President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu finishing up a short meeting in the US, Tsarfati is right about time being short militarily in Israel with Hamas refusing to disarm. Recent reports detail how one Hamas official refuting a two month disarming timeline among other things as we read in an article from World Israel News:

A senior Hamas official on Wednesday rejected demands by President Donald Trump that the Gaza terror group disarm and denied reports that the president has handed down a two-month deadline to comply.

Speaking with Al Jazeera, Hamas spokesman and former envoy to Iran and Lebanon Osama Hamdan responded to comments by Trump during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, ruling out disarmament, which Hamdan called “a leap into the air.”

Hamdan also has a short memory about previous and ongoing attacks on Israel that breaks the ceasefire as well as the refusal to return the last remains of a hostage body which should have been done back in October of 2025 when he accuses Israel of breaking the deal:

Ignoring Hamas’ violations of the October ceasefire with Israel, Hamdan claimed Israel has breached the truce agreement, and called on the US to force Israel into compliance.

Not Up On The News

Hamdan seems to be behind on the current news as well:

Pushing back on reports that Trump has given Hamas two months to hand over its weapons or be disarmed by force, Hamdan said that the terror group has received no such message from Washington.

“Nothing has reached us officially, neither from the mediators nor from anyone else,” said Hamdan. “Talking about deadlines for handing over weapons is an American leap into the air in favor of Israel.”

The terrorists are very good at manipulation so such statements aren’t out of character. Hamdan then tries to make their disarming as part of a Palestinian state which isn’t part of the 20 point plan:

Hamdan reiterated Hamas’ position that it will only consider handing over its arsenal as part of a broader rapprochement with the Palestinian Authority and the establishment of a Palestinian state.

“These issues must be agreed upon within the framework of a national consensus.”

Hamdam then addresses Trump’s statement that Gazan’s want to leave if they could:

When asked about reports that Israel’s recognition of Somaliland is a prelude to a mass emigration from Gaza, Hamdan denied polling data and claims by President Trump Monday that a majority of Gazans would leave the Strip if permitted to do so.

“No Palestinian wants to leave their land.”

As for Trump, he did indeed say Hamas is on the clock for disarming and now there is a two month deadline to do so:

On Monday, President Trump warned that there will be “hell to pay” if Hamas fails to disarm, adding that the terror group would be given a “very short” timeframe to comply. It was later reported that Trump and Netanyahu agreed Hamas would be given two months to demilitarize.

Be Careful

Going back to the Tsfarti post we see more personal advice for the upcoming year:

Another critical challenge we face is the explosion of online deception.

2026 will not only bring an unprecedented wave of deepfakes and fabricated videos, but also a flood of conspiracy theories deliberately designed to sow discord, confusion, hatred, and ultimately chaos. These are intentional tools of the enemy to divide, distract, and destabilize.

He then issues some cautions to us:

• If you spend more time watching the chaos than reading the Word, you will lose your peace.

• If you spend more time scrolling than praying, you will fall into deception.

• If you listen more to voices of fear than to the voice of truth, you will be swept away by confusion.

He urges us to make more time to read your Bible:

No matter how many of my Bible studies you watch - whether in Israel, around the world, online, or through my books - nothing can replace your personal time in the Word and in prayer. Only this will protect your mind from the enemy’s schemes and keep you anchored in the blessed hope.

That’s good advice for any time really, but the closer we get to the Rapture it is even more pertinent. He then tells us that 2026 is not a time to relax:

2026 is not the year to be passive. It’s the year to be grounded, armed, and awake.

He then ends with even more good instruction, this time from the Bible:

Let me conclude with Paul’s exhortation:

Romans 13:11–14 (NKJV)

“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.

But put on the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”

Very good words indeed.
