It’s Clobberin’ Time

I’m Not Surprised

According to a report the World Israel News Hamas will not accept the offer on the table:

Hamas is signaling that it will reject US President Donald Trump’s newly unveiled Gaza peace plan, with senior figures describing the proposal as one-sided and dismissive of Palestinian concerns.

The terrorist group feels that the plan favors Israel too much:

A Hamas official told the BBC that the group believes the 20-point plan “serves Israel’s interests” and “ignores those of the Palestinian people.”

As I have always said, Hamas has no intention of laying down their weapons:

He indicated that Hamas would not disarm or surrender its weapons, a central demand of the framework.

And not leaving power is another thing they are diametrically opposed to doing:

The group is also opposed to the deployment of an International Stabilization Force in Gaza, which it views as another form of foreign occupation.

What they want is to take Gaza back and be in charge again. They want to act like October 7th never happened. Thankfully both Trump and Netanyahu remember:

Trump announced the plan in Washington on Monday alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who voiced support for the initiative.

No official response is being given, but nothing will change:

Hamas has yet to issue a formal response, though Qatar said the group is studying the proposal “responsibly.”

Qatar thinks they can get Hamas to relent, but really these terrorists would rather die than surrender any power:

Negotiations involve Hamas leaders both inside Gaza and abroad, but the group’s military commander in the Strip, Ez al-Din al-Haddad, is reportedly pressing to continue fighting rather than accept the terms.

More Terrorists Opine

In yet another unsurprising development, the remaining terrorists in Gaza don’t like the deal:

Other Palestinian factions have already rejected the plan. Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which also participated in the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, dismissed it outright on Tuesday.

You know I keep saying this part, but now it’s being reported that Hamas won’t give up the hostages all at once. And that exact sentiment came up again:

Hamas leaders argue that being forced to release all Israeli hostages at once would mean relinquishing their primary bargaining chip.

Hamas doesn’t trust Israel to keep their word even though Trump is involved, something they liked when it favored them:

Distrust of Israel’s intentions also weighs heavily. Hamas officials fear that once the hostages are released, Israel would resume military operations, pointing to the recent attempted strike on Hamas leadership in Doha as evidence of bad faith.

And the buffer zone on the table is a sticking point. In other words they want to live right on the border of Israel so they can attack again:

A proposed buffer zone along Gaza’s southern border with Egypt, included in maps circulated by the White House, is another sticking point.

Oh and no official state being created is yet another point of disagreement:

Netanyahu’s insistence that Israeli forces remain in parts of Gaza and his opposition to a Palestinian state are other reasons Hamas may not trust the plan.

Delusional is one word for the thinking, but at lease one Gazan sees hope in it:

Within Gaza, some residents expressed reluctant support for the deal simply as a way to end the war. “The American plan has bad clauses, but I support it because it will stop the war and get rid of Hamas,” said one resident.

Other Gazans are still suspicious of Israel and Trump mostly because they have been taught to hate Israel since birth:

Others warned that rejection would hand Netanyahu and the West a pretext to intensify the conflict.

Any way you cut it this last ditch deal is dead on arrival and I always said it would be. Trump says it is a take or leave it deal while Qatar and Hamas say it’s a starting point which is a classic Arab tactic. Stall until you can get what you want. It is the Western mindset that they aren’t grasping now. Well the Trump mindset would be closer to the truth. All they have to do is ask Iran about the US president and his resolve. But don’t expect Hamas or any of these terrorists to do the right thing or the logical thing. As the comic character says, it’s clobberin’ time.
