Israel At War Day 669
Hamas Is To Blame
Taking It All Back
The negotiations are basically over as Prime Minister Netanyahu decides to annex the entire Gaza Strip even if the military leaders are against it as we’re told in a report from The Jerusalem Post:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reached a decision for the full occupation of the Gaza Strip, including operations in areas where hostages are held, a source in the Prime Minister's Office told The Jerusalem Post on Monday.
The decision is rumored to not have the support of the IDF Chief of Staff. Netanyahu is believed to have said this about that:
The Prime Minister's Office conveyed the message to IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir: If this does not suit you, then you should resign.
Differences between the leaders of nations and their military commanders are common. Hopefully Zamir will follow orders if only to maintain a unified front. We got to this place over the last few months of failed negotiations and if anyone is to blame for the decision to annex the Strip, though it is Hamas:
The announcement comes after months of talks in Doha between Hamas, Israel, and mediators to reach a ceasefire-hostage deal.
The terrorists' demands reveal an organization on the ropes and needing more time to survive. One demand is that all humanitarian aid go through them or others who allow Hamas to distribute it:
Hamas demanded that hundreds of trucks of aid would need to enter the Gaza Strip for the terror group to return to negotiations, despite increased international efforts to deliver resources to the Palestinian enclave in a way that would bypass the Islamist rulers of the strip.
They are hoping that all the international media outlets parroting the starving of Gaza will pressure Israel to comply. They even cruelly posted videos of two hostages that they brazenly starved to make their point:
Hamas also released videos over the weekend, showing emaciated hostages and claiming that they were starving as a result of widespread famine in the Gaza Strip.
They even refuse to let the hostages get food when it is offered showing more of their crass demeaning of lives for their own political aims:
While the Red Cross agreed to increase efforts to deliver aid directly to the hostages, in addition to the aid being delivered by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, Hamas responded that the resources would only be allowed to reach the men if Israel opens the humanitarian corridors permanently and halts "all forms of air traffic" during the delivery of packages to the hostages.
The disappointing thing is that there are nations willing to give them statehood even knowing how inhumane they are. Don’t they realize that the way they treat the hostages will be how they treat others in the future? This is why Israel is taking the land from their control. They simply can’t be trusted with power and won’t surrender until they have none to wield.
Responding To Hamas Videos
We learn from a report from The Daily Signal that the starving images seen in the terrorist propaganda videos just released is stirring up politicians:
Hamas released on Friday a horrifying propaganda video depicting a starving Israeli hostage digging his own grave. The images have sparking outrage around the world.
One hostage is shown seriously starving:
In the five-minute video, the emaciated Evyatar David is seen inside a narrow, claustrophobic tunnel, digging his own grave while crossing off the days on a calendar. “I haven’t eaten for a few days in a row,” David says.
Then he’s then handed a can of food and says this:
As he keeps digging, a man behind the camera hands him a can of beans. “This can is for two days,” David states. “This whole can is for two days, so that I don’t die.”
He then gives this heart wrenching assessment:
“This is the grave I think I’m going to be buried in. Time is running out,” David cries.
And then his family weighed in with their thoughts:
David’s family released a statement to the Hostages Families Forum Headquarters.
“We are forced to witness our beloved son and brother, Evyatar David, deliberately and cynically starved in Hamas’s tunnels in Gaza—a living skeleton, buried alive,” the family said. “The deliberate starvation of our son as part of a propaganda campaign is one of the most horrifying acts the world has seen.”
David’s family approved of the video’s release.
And then politicians give their opinions and they didn’t hold back starting with Netanyahu:
Leaders condemned Hamas’ cruelty as the footage circulated around the world.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the video with a statement released Saturday on X. “The cruelty of Hamas knows no bounds. While the State of Israel allows the entry of humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, Hamas terrorists deliberately starve our hostages, documenting them in a cynical, humiliating, and malicious manner.”
The PM also accused Hamas of starving its own people:
“They also deliberately starve the residents of the Strip,” Netanyahu added. “They prevent aid from reaching them and then lie to the world and conduct a false propaganda campaign against Israel. I call on all the countries of the world—stand against this Nazi-like abuse. Do not stand by. This is a moral test.”
Then US politicians sounded off:
Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., also released a statement on X in support of David and his family.
“I had the honor to meet with his family in my office. I cannot even begin to imagine the horror of this video for them,” Fetterman stated. “I continue to stand with these families and every last hostage. Hamas: send these poor souls home, disarm, and end this hell on earth in Gaza.”
“Iran-backed Hamas terrorists have held innocent people hostage, starving them for 666 days,” Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fl., said on Saturday in response to the footage. “Just look at these photos. It’s gut-wrenching. Every day that goes by is a risk to their lives. We cannot stop until every hostage is home and Hamas is destroyed.”
I’m sure anyone who cares for these hostages feels the same way. Pray this war ends and it will if Scott feelings are headed and accomplished.
