Israel At War Day 636

No Hamastan

Netanyahu: No Hamas

As Hamas is reviewing the current hostage deal that Israel is agreeing to, the Prime Minister of Israel drew a familiar line in the sand as we read in a report from The Jerusalem Post:

Hamas is reviewing new ceasefire proposals from mediators, aiming for an agreement that would end the Gaza conflict and ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave, according to a statement released on Wednesday.

On the same day, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the elimination of the terrorist organization in his first public remarks since US President Donald Trump announced what he called a "final proposal" for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza.

Netanyahu was not slow on adding his feelings about the long term prospect for Hamas:

"There will not be a Hamas. There will not be a Hamastan. We're not going back to that. It's over. We will free all our hostages," Netanyahu told a meeting hosted by the Trans-Israel pipeline. The audience applauded the statement.

"'Well, really, how can you say that? These are two opposing goals!' – What nonsense. It works together. We will complete it together, contrary to what others say. We will eliminate them down to the ground," he continued in an impassioned speech.

The PM added that eliminating Hamas will not devastate Israel’s economy:

"Our opportunities are huge. We are not going to miss them. We won’t fail them, we won’t lose them, we won’t miss this opportunity," he stressed, adding that opportunities include defeating "our enemies and [securing] our future – economically, nationally, internationally, and energetically."

In the same statement, Netanyahu announced that Israel is going to increase and enhance its energy capacity. "The forecast for gas revenues alone in the coming decade is almost 300 billion shekels. You remember there were debates about this: ‘This will destroy the Israeli economy.’ It didn’t destroy the Israeli economy – it’s building the Israeli economy," he said.

Netanyahu said that it will also help energy futures for the region:

He concluded with a promise to connect the energy sources of Asia, the Middle East, and the Arabian Peninsula with the West.

US President Donald Trump announced the deal on social media:

Trump said on Tuesday that Israel had agreed to the US-proposed ceasefire conditions.

"Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60 Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War," he wrote in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday night.

Trump then added a warning for Hamas, which he has done in the past:

"I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE."

Hamas hinted that they want other things added to the deal, things that will kill the deal which they may know since they only want to stall things. And of course, survive and stay in Gaza.

Send B-2 Bombers To Yemen

The US Ambassador to Israel suggests the stealth bombers that devastated Iran’s nuclear program should head south as we’re told in an article from NDTV.com:

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee threatened to launch B-2 Spirit stealth bombers in Yemen, after Israel intercepted a missile launched by the Houthis on Monday.

Huckabee added these comments on his X

"We thought we were done with missiles coming to Israel, but Houthis just lit one up over us in Israel. Fortunately, Israel's incredible interception system means we go to the shelter & wait until all clear," Mr. Huckabee posted on X.

"Maybe those B2 bombers need to visit Yemen!" he added.

I’m not sure the targets for those bombers in the small country of Yemen, but I’m sure they would be effective if only just as a show of force:

The envoy's reference to B2 bombers came days after the US used its most advanced strategic weapons to strike Iran's three nuclear sites last month, as it joined Israel's military campaign against its major rival. The Houthi rebels in Yemen are also backed by Iran.

The article then reminds us of what those bombers are and what they can do:

The B-2 is capable of entering sophisticated air defenses and delivering precision strikes against hardened targets such as Iran's buried network of nuclear research facilities.

The bomber's range of over 6,000 nautical miles (11,112 km) without refueling enables global strike capabilities from continental US bases. With aerial refueling, the B-2 can reach virtually any target worldwide, as demonstrated in missions from Missouri to Afghanistan and Libya and now Iran. Its payload capacity of more than 40,000 pounds (18,144 kg) allows the aircraft to carry a diverse array of conventional and nuclear weapons. The bomber's internal weapons bays are specifically designed to maintain stealth characteristics while accommodating large ordnance loads, which could include two GBU-57A/B MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator), a 30,000-pound precision-guided "bunker buster" bomb.

The Houthi rebels know all this and saw how Iran was treated and still continue to attack Israel. Their logic remains the same from the beginning:

The Houthi rebels have launched repeated missile and drone attacks against Israel since their Palestinian ally Hamas's October 2023 attack on Israel sparked the Gaza war. On Saturday, the Houthis said they fired a ballistic missile towards Israel, the first launch against Israel announced by the Houthis since the June 24 ceasefire between Israel and Iran which ended their 12-day war. The Houthis, who say they are acting in solidarity with Palestinians, paused their attacks during a two-month ceasefire in Gaza that ended in March, but renewed them after Israel broke the truce.

The IDF is not happy about the current attacks and are considering upping the attacks on the Houthis:

Israel has carried out several retaliatory strikes in Yemen, targeting Houthi-held ports and the airport in the rebel-held capital Sanaa.

Whether the US uses B-2 bombs or not the Houthi rebels have to be defeated at some point in time. In Bible prophecy this country will turn to supporting Israel as seen in Ezekiel 38 so something will need to change. Taking out the terrorists will be a move in the right direction.
