Israel At War Day 619

Shaking The Olive Tree

Prophetic Results

As you know, I don’t just give you current events but give you the Biblical perspective about it when I can. Yes, it’s good to know what is happening so we can pray specifically, but often things happen to fulfill Bible prophecy. And when it comes to Israel, well God’s chosen people are the super sign in last days prophecy so just about everything they do is connected at some point. And right now, what we’re seeing with Iran attacking civilians areas like Tel Aviv and Haifa is right out of Isaiah 17, the same chapter that predicts Israel getting hit hard by terrorists all around them:

In that day Jacob will lose his shining-greatness. And he will lose the fat of his flesh. 5 It will be like one who gathers the standing grain, taking the ears of grain with his arm or like one who gathers the ears of grain in the valley of Rephaim. 6 Yet some good will be left in it, as when an olive tree is shaken. There will still be two or three olives on the highest branch, and four or five on the branches of a tree that gives much fruit, says the Lord God of Israel. (Isa 17:4-6, NLV)

Right now Iran is hitting two areas, Tel Aviv and Haifa and it’s no coincidence that they are targets of Iran. We see in an article from The Jerusalem Post from April of 2023 that Iran would hit these two cities if Israel even sneezes at them:

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi threatened to destroy Tel Aviv and Haifa at the slightest provocation in a speech he delivered during the country’s National Army Day parade that also fell on Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day.

At that point the previous US administration had assets in the area, much like now:

“The slightest mistake against our country will be responded with a harsh response and will be accompanied by the destruction of Haifa and Tel Aviv,” Raisi said according to an English language translation of his speech posted on his office’s web page.

And in a comment that could have been ripped from the headlines today, Raisi said this:

“The enemies of the Islamic Revolution, especially the Zionist Regime, have received the message of the power of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he explained.

The point is that The Iranian Supreme leader Khamenei would like nothing more than to continue striking Tel Aviv and Haifa until there is nothing left of the two cities.

Making The Prophetic Connection

Going back to the Isaiah prophecy we should start off by saying that olive oil production is a big export for Israel. And one olive tree can have 100s of olives and in the prophetic verses it says that there will only be 2-5 olives left after the shaking starting at the top with one or two and then no more than 5 total on the rest of the tree. Some see the top of the tree being Haifa and Tel Aviv being the rest or lower branches. Basically Isaiah is giving us an image of Israel being hit harder and harder and the attacks will be significant. Right now let’s consider that the current missile strikes from Iran represent the first of many strikes with even other terrorists like Hezbollah who have a lot of rockets left even after being struck by the IDF. Before the IDF took on the terrorists from the north this is what was predicted if such an offensive occurred:

Predicted scenario: 6,000 rockets at Israel during first days of war with Hezbollah. Israel's defense establishment is preparing for the worst-case scenario during a war on the northern border, which would include days-long blackouts, hundreds dead, and thousands wounded. Experts estimate that every day, there will be approximately 1,500 effective strikes in Israeli territory, and that is after subtracting rockets that statistically land in open areas and interceptions by the Iron Dome svstem ... Within the first few days, about 6,000 rockets would be launched at the Jewish state. As time progresses, the number would decline to about only 1,500 to 2,000 rockets a day.

Right now Hezbollah is saying they’re staying out of the fighting between Israel and Iran, but can we really trust their word for it? I don’t think so. And then goes for the other proxies of Iran. In short, I think this shaking of the olive tree is exactly what we’re seeing right now. And as I alluded to, it will get worse. But this will not be the end of things. Israel will fight back as they see in Tehran where it is indeed burning. And Iran has a finite amount of ballistic missiles and a dwindling amount of launchers as the IDF destroys them once they’re attacked from them. Less and less missiles from fewer and fewer launching points means Iran can only keep this going so long. Israel and Israelis can weather this storm if they are smart and that means seeking shelter every time they’re warned. As it stands Iran is getting devastated while Israel is hit minimally although our view is skewed. Up until now we’ve been accustomed to seeing all the attacks on Israel repelled. Now that some are getting through we’re taken back. Folks, don’t let the lamestream media make you think Iran is getting the best of Israel just because we’re seeing buildings damaged and casualties. This will turn soon just as we’re told in Psalm 83 and Israel will be the prophesied great and mighty army.
