Israel At War Day 609

All About Iran

Setting The Record Straight

Israel’s Ambassador to the US is picking a fight with Tucker Carlson over comments he made on X about going to war with Iran as we see in an article from CBN.com:

Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter is setting the record straight on Iran's intent to continue to develop its nuclear program, despite the certain media efforts to soften the regime's plan to ultimately target Israel.

The Ambassador was on the 700 Club to talk about the war in Israel including Iran:

Leiter joined CBN's 700 Club program to discuss Israel's efforts to bring new humanitarian aid to Gaza, the recent terror attack in Boulder, Colorado, and President Trump's attempt to reach a nuclear deal with Iran.

He says, and I think rightly so that much of the media coverage on Iran and their nuclear ambitions are wrong:

Leiter pointed out that news outlets often are wrong when it comes to Iran's plan for its nuclear weapon program.

"There are no countries in the world that enrich uranium that don't have a bomb. If you are enriching uranium on your own soil, you are intent on creating a nuclear weapon. Despite what Tucker Carlson wrote this morning. He's just wrong," he said.

Carlson feels that Iran is nowhere close to getting nuclear weapons:

Carlson, who boasts a social media following of around 20 million, wrote on X Thursday that "there is zero credible intelligence that suggests Iran is anywhere near building a bomb, or has plans to. None."

Carlson, in his X post added this:

Mark Levin was at the White House today, lobbying for war with Iran. To be clear, Levin has no plans to fight in this or any other war. He’s demanding that American troops do it. We need to stop Iran from building nuclear weapons, he and likeminded ideologues in Washington are now arguing. They’re just weeks away.

He then made this claim:

If this sounds familiar, it's because the same people have been making the same claim since at least the 1990s. It’s a lie. In fact, there is zero credible intelligence that suggests Iran is anywhere near building a bomb, or has plans to. None. Anyone who claims otherwise is ignorant or dishonest. If the US government knew Iran was weeks from possessing a nuclear weapon, we’d be at war already.

Just Wrong

Going back to Leiter, he countered with a single comment:

Leiter says he is flat-out wrong.
Then he explained his logic:
"There are no countries that have enrichment, that don't have a bomb. And those who have a nuclear program, don't have enrichment. What you do is import the fuel, process the fuel, and then under international scrutiny and inspection, it's removed. This nonsense, that Tucker is putting forward is pulling the wool over the eyes of the people," the ambassador explained.
And Carlson isn’t alone in his assessment. But he thinks that the warmongers don’t want a peaceful solution as we read in his X post:

So why is Mark Levin once again hyperventilating about weapons of mass destruction? To distract you from the real goal, which is regime change — young Americans heading back to the Middle East to topple yet another government. Virtually no one will say this out loud. America’s record of overthrowing foreign leaders is so embarrassingly counterproductive that regime change has become a synonym for disaster. Officially, no one supports it. So instead of telling the truth about their motives, they manufacture hysteria: “A country like Iran can never have the bomb! They’ll nuke Los Angeles! We have to act now!”

And Carlson thinks there are Trump haters who want him to go to war to tarnish his presidency:

It goes without saying that there are very few Trump voters who’d support a regime change war in Iran. Donald Trump has argued loudly against reckless lunacy like this. Trump ran for president as a peace candidate. That’s what made him different from conventional Republicans. It’s why he won. A war with Iran would amount to a profound betrayal of his supporters. It would end his presidency. That may explain why so many of Trump’s enemies are advocating for it.

Carlson’s logic sounds good within his bubble, but he somehow has a blind spot to the evidence which is physical and spiritual. Going back to the CBN.com article, Leiter made the Iranian danger a spiritual one as well:
"Iran...has no interest in human life whatsoever. It's a death cult and they are interested in implementing this death cult. And they have said Israel is a one-bomb country. They call us little satan and they call (the United States) big satan. They are experts on satan because they are satanic, quite frankly."

Iran is dangerous without nuclear weapons as Carlson tells us, but that’s not the point. Israel knows they’re dangerous. Trump knows it, too. The point is that Iran needs to be taken down more than a step or two. And Bible prophecy predicts an Iranian humbling before the War of Gog and Magog as well as the nuclear facilities being hit by Israel. Leiter ends his comments with this admonition:
"We have to do everything we can to prevent Iran from achieving a path nuclear weapon," he continued.

I can say amen to that.
