We Could Have Predicted This
Everyone wanted humanitarian aid to get into Gaza. Everyone said that 14,000 babies would die in days. Everyone cried about the terrible conditions in Gaza. So the aid trucks came in. Hamas looted them as we see in a report from The Jerusalem Post:
Five aid trucks in the Gaza Strip were taken over by looters on Saturday, Israeli media reported.
The report calls them looters but the IDF said they were Hamas terrorists. It fits the narrative because then the aid was sold not given to the civilians for free as intended:
The stolen goods were sold to Gazans at inflated prices in areas such as Deir el-Balah and the Nuseirat refugee camp.
The humanitarian aid trucks that entered Gaza contained flour, sugar, and sesame seeds. Flour was sold by the looters for NIS 40 per kilo, Israeli media noted.
Additionally, 15 World Food Program trucks were looted overnight in the Strip that were carrying humanitarian aid, The Washington Post reported on Friday.
When not given out in an organized manner as expected, the supplies were literally thrown over a wall of through a small opening:
Also on Friday, hundreds of Gazans crowded next to a bakery in central Gaza’s Nuseirat camp, attempting to access bread after limited quantities of flour arrived in recent aid distributions, according to social media posts.
Footage on X/Twitter showed frantic pushing and shoving as the individuals in the crowd tried to catch plastic bags full of bread that were thrown over a wall or handed through a small hatch.
100 humanitarian trucks started going in on Wednesday
The aid is getting there, though now:
A hundred trucks carrying humanitarian aid from the UN and the international community, including flour, baby food, and medical equipment, were transferred on Wednesday through the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza after Israel lifted an 11-week blockade and began allowing limited deliveries into the enclave via the crossing.
The IDF cleared more than 120 trucks carrying food aid for distribution in Gaza in the past week, but there is an ongoing debate regarding how much of it is getting to Gazan civilians.
Ninety trucks that were carrying flour, baby food, and nutritional supplements entered the Strip on Wednesday, making it the first aid to enter in 80 days, with an additional 107 trucks entering on Thursday.
The point is that Hamas is up to their old tricks which is exactly why the aid was stopped recently. Why no one shouting at Israel does the same thing about Hamas is a blatant crime all by itself. The plan Israel wants to implement takes Hamas out of the process and it can’t come soon enough. The murderers from October 7th can’t be trusted to do anything that benefits their own people. Their only motive is their survival. It’s not a hard thing to see if you have an open mind.
UN Doesn’t Blame Hamas
They do however blame Israel which we should have expected as well. The IDF can and has securely gotten aid into Gaza, but the UN refuses to let Israel help as we see in a report from the Jewish News Syndicate:
Former high-ranking U.N. officials have signed on to lead a new aid delivery mechanism to the Gaza Strip that aims to avoid Hamas looting. But António Guterres, the world body’s secretary-general, said again on Friday that the global body “will not take part in any scheme that fails to respect international law and the humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, independence and neutrality.”
So why do they trust Hamas to distribute it? Guterres is blaming Israel and not pointing the finger at the very people who looted aid trucks all during the war. And it is clear that he is a huge hater of Israel as has been from the get-go. While Israel fights for their lives in Gaza and really all around them, the UN decries those efforts and they know that Hamas is forcing Israel to do exactly what they are doing:
Guterres told reporters that Gazans “are enduring what may be the cruelest phase of this cruel conflict,” as Israel implements a military campaign to centralize Gazan citizenry and to isolate and eliminate remaining Hamas terrorists.
“Today, 80% of Gaza has been either designated an Israeli-militarized zone or an area where people have been ordered to leave,” Guterres said. “In other words, four-fifths of the territory of Gaza is a no-go zone for the people of Gaza.”
Guterres doesn’t like Israel’s plan because he doesn’t want Israel to defeat Hamas and he’s using the plight of the Gazans to make his point. He obviously doesn’t see that the terrorists there can’t be defeated any other way and that the people can come back after the area has been demilitarized, but I digress. Now that aid is released, the UN isn’t up to the task of releasing it, or so they say:
On Sunday, Israel ended its 11-week blockade on aid delivery to pressure Hamas to release more hostages. Guterres criticized the Jewish state’s methods, even as U.N. agencies have struggled to deliver the limited amount of aid that entered the Strip this week.
“In recent days, almost 400 trucks were cleared for entry to Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing, but supplies from only 115 trucks have been able to be collected,” Guterres said.
Guterres says it is because of it can’t be done safely which begs the question who is threatening it:
The U.N. chief gave no indication of why the United Nations, which consistently saw massive backlogs of trucks waiting for delivery earlier in the war, hasn’t yet collected all of the deliveries this week.
Without safety and security mitigation measures in place for our convoys, and with a low supply of aid, “the risk of security incidents and looting remains high,” he said.
It’s Hamas who is looting the trucks. Israel is more than willing and able to get the aid in and protect every step of the way. He knows this. He and others are willfully ignorant:
U.N. data shows that Palestinian terrorists looted hundreds of trucks during the war, when aid was flowing into the enclave regularly. The United Nations has declined to let Israel protect the routes and convoys.
Pray that the IDF gets their plan implemented so this craziness can end. Soon. Period.
