US Stops Attacks

In a move that surprised just about everybody the US announced they are halting their offensives against the Houthi rebels in Yemen as we read in a report from The Jerusalem Post:

Israel was not informed in advance about US President Donald Trump's announcement regarding the Houthis, an informed source told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

To say that the announcement blindsided Israel is an understatement:

Trump said on Tuesday that the US will stop bombing the Houthis in Yemen after claiming that the Iran-aligned group agreed to stop interrupting important shipping lanes in the Middle East.

Trump made the statement during a meeting with Canadien Prime Minister:

The comments came during an Oval Office meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, when Trump announced that the Houthis have said that they no longer want to fight, but did not elaborate on the message.

Trump's statement was concise:

"They said please don't bomb us anymore and we're not going to attack your ships," Trump said.

Interestingly, the Houthis haven’t acknowledged the agreement:

There was no immediate response from the Houthis.

As for Israel attacking the Houthis, Trump did say the US would be willing to help out in a pinch:

During Tuesday's Israel Air Force airstrikes on Sanaa, the Trump administration provided a support system "so that if something goes wrong, they will assist."

The IDF has all but destroyed the main airport as well hitting power stations which makes the Houthis even weaker:

The IDF said on Tuesday afternoon that it had conducted a wide array of air strikes across Yemen on Sanaa International Airport, electric power stations, and a cement factory, to weaken the Houthis.

The terrorists in Yemen did say they have no intention of rolling over which contradicts Trump’s logic for ending their attacks:

The Houthis released a statement on Tuesday following the IDF's airstrikes across Sanaa, stating that "the Israeli and American aggression will not go unanswered and will not deter Yemen from continuing its support for Gaza."

So just what is going on here? While I’m not sure who Trump’s team is negotiating with, I do know that I have always said that Israel will have to take out the Houthis on their own and this suspicious deal only strengthens my assessment. Trust me when I tell you that the IDF is more than able to take on this added challenge. But there are developments in Gaza that need out attention.

Divide And Conquer

We’re told that the IDF will defeat Hamas in Gaza by moving the Gazans to the south and will provide aid directly to them. This will allow Israel to go in unimpeded by humanitarian constraints, constraints that the international community droned on and on about based on lies made by Hamas that their people were starving and not getting their basic needs met. Naturally, Hamas isn’t happy about that as we’re told in an article from i24news.tv:

Hamas on Monday strongly rejected the Israeli plan for distributing humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, a central component of the new military operation approved by the Israeli security cabinet.

Hamas basically charged Israel of making the aid a political strategy:

In an official statement, the terrorist movement expressed "its firm opposition to turning humanitarian aid into a tool of political extortion or having it subject to Israeli conditions."

As I mentioned, the plan is simple:

The plan adopted by the Israeli government provides for the massive evacuation of the Gazan population from combat zones to the south of the enclave, while creating a separation between civilians and Hamas terrorists to allow the Israel Defense Forces greater freedom of action.

The terrorists made an outlandish assessment of the plan stating that Israel is the wrong nation to deliver aid as well as accusing Israel of war crimes which is a tried and true canard used by them:

According to Hamas, the proposed mechanism "violates international law and allows Israel to evade its obligations under the Geneva Convention," while perpetuating "a policy of starvation and distraction" that would give Israel "additional time to commit genocide crimes." The organization also praised the stance of the United Nations and international organizations that oppose arrangements that it said do not respect basic humanitarian principles. Hamas insists that "only specialized international and governmental institutions, and not Israel or its agents, are authorized to manage and distribute aid."

It's laughable that there will be people who will lap these lies up and parrot it as being accurate when Hamas are the ones responsible for these bad conditions and have been the cause of this pain for a long, long time. Hamas ends by blaming Israel while the Israeli plan intends to end them:

The statement also asserts that Israel "deliberately causes famine and bears full responsibility for the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip." This stance comes as the official Israeli plan aims to "defeat and subdue Hamas, destroy its military and governmental capabilities, while exerting strong pressure to secure the release of all hostages."

Hamas is on fumes and needs every bit of help they can get. They know that once the civilians are out of harm’s way they will be sitting ducks for the IDF. And once the hostages are rescued there will be nothing to hold back Israel from hitting Hamas with all they have and taking over the Gaza Strip once and for all. It’s exactly what I’ve been saying they will do all along and it is also exactly what the Bible tells us will happen as we see in Zephaniah 2 as I detailed in a podcast last week and one I aired on March 18th of this year. You see, studying the Bible and the prophecies contained in it allows us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem specifically.
