Greenland Gambit: Trump, Prophecy, and Power?

A Big Brouhaha

I checked my various social media news feeds and of course the meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky and US President Donald Trump pretty much dominated them all. And for good reason. Instead of a civil news conference it quickly devolved into a verbal sparring match that pretty much divided just everybody. Regardless of how you feel about Ukraine or Trump it made for quite the spectacle. News junkies picked it apart and then came the obligatory meme wars that were split along political lines with the Trump Derangement Syndrome folks saying it was the worst behavior by a president in their lifetimes and the Make America Great Again crowd picking apart President Zelensky for everything from his business casual attire to his whining for more money and support, something Trump wasn’t about to support until a desire for peace with Russia was on the table. I’m not totally sure who is right on this, but like Trump has been known to say, it was good television viewing. But I bring this up not to take a deeper dive into it but to point out that in the bigger prophetic picture there is another country that Trump is talking about that could be a preview of things to come, one that isn’t usually talked about when we explore the various alignments of nations in Bible prophecy. And one I think will surprise you.

The Club Of Rome

Before I tell which nation I’m talking about, a little background is in order. And it starts with a group of international leaders, much like the World Economic Forum (WEF) that I heard about from Bible prophecy teachers way back in the 1970s. It is the Club of Rome. Finding more about them isn’t hard since they openly talk about their reason for existing and what they intend to accomplish. They have a web site where anyone can get more information about them and their plans for the world. Here is a little overview from them and what they want to do:

The vision of The Club of Rome is an interconnected world that has emerged from multiple emergencies with a new way of being human that promotes wellbeing for all in a healthier ecosystem.

The mission of The Club of Rome is to apply holistic, interdisciplinary and long-term thinking to ensure broader societal and planetary wellbeing; to move towards more equitable economic, financial, and socio-political models; ensure an inclusive human dimension to all systems change; and to emerge from emergency. This will be achieved through the five impact hubs.

Like so many global players they point to the pandemic as the emergency that changed everything for the planet. For good or for bad, I agree that the pandemic did impact us and give us a taste of what a one world government will be like. The WEF is sucking up all the attention on that front, but the Club of Rome has an intriguing concept which aligns with a prophetic concept quite nicely.

Another Emerging Emergency

That line they used can be a little vague but it is true that a world crisis does open the door for changes, much like the two world wars did and now the global pandemic did. But right now there is strong resistance to giving up national sovereignty especially in America. The world did bow to a health crisis, however there was never a total agreement to agree to a new world order. The resistance to that notion is being felt loud and clear with the newly re-elected President Trump who just after his inauguration issued this statement to the WEF:

Under the Trump administration, there will be no better place on Earth to create jobs, build factories, or grow a company than right here in the good old USA.

Already, American’s economic — and you can see this, I think, maybe even in your — in your wonderful, wonderful room that you’re all gathered together — so many of my friends — but, Americans, the economic confidence is soaring like we haven’t seen in many, many decades, maybe not at all.

Throughout his remote speech he echoed the theme that America will lead the way which is a far cry from the goals of laying down nationalism for globalism. Trump did much the same in his last speech to them during his first term basically saying the world needs a strong America. But in Bible prophecy America is nowhere to be seen. However there is a single prophesied event that could easily change all that: The Rapture of the church. When you bring up a global emergency, that qualifies as the biggest one ever. The immediate leaving of billions of people from all walks of life with little to no warning would bring about instant chaos. And out of this crisis will come the need for a central worldwide committee to bring order out of disorder. The WEF and the Club of Rome is already primed and prepared to be those people.

Daniel And Revelation

Right on queue I can tell you that Daniel and the Apostle John saw such a time thousands of year ago. If you want to understand end times prophecy, studying these two books in the Bible are very enlightening. Both describe how the world will be governed and use similar talking points when they do. In an article from the christinprophecyblog.org we read this:

Okay, let’s get back to Bible prophecy being fulfilled. Daniel 7:7 speaks of the prophet’s vision of four great beasts coming out of the sea. The fourth beast had ten horns, and then he saw another horn, a smaller horn. In verse 17, Daniel is given the interpretation of this vision:

The four great beasts are four kings who will rise from the earth. The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them, another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people who will be delivered into his hands for a time, times, and half a time. (Daniel 7:24-25)

We know this vision is speaking of the Antichrist and the Tribulation.

The author then goes to Revelation to connect the dots:

Revelation 17:12 also speaks of the ten horns. It says, “The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast.” Revelation 17:14 adds, “These kings will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings.”

Many people have tried to figure out what these ten horns or ten kings will be. I for one don’t know but I hear a lot of theories about what God is telling those who are alive at this time.

And About Greenland

You thought I buried the lead there, but it was necessary to set the table for the strange push by President Donald Trump to make Greenland a part of the United States. It seemed to come out of left field and people of all political stripes weighed in on it. Why do we even need to purchase Greenland? How will it affect America? While I could entertain those questions I am more interested in how it fits in end times prophecy. Fortunately, the aforementioned article tells us:

Both Daniel and Revelation explain that before the Antichrist comes on the scene, there will be Ten Kings. This is where Trump’s plan to buy and control Greenland comes into play. Most people see the North American Union—the United States, Mexico, and Canada—as being part of the Ten Kings of Revelation. However, if you look at a 50-year-old map organized by the Club of Rome, you will see that it divides the world into 10 economic trading blocks. Greenland is connected to the United States. Mexico is part of South America and is not linked to North America.

Will these 10 blocks be the fulfillment of Daniel 7 and Revelation 17? That’s yet to be seen, but it is amazing when you combine Scripture with the 50 years of the Club of Rome history and what Trump says he wants to do with Greenland.

The map envisioned 50 or so years ago in the Club of Rome’s book The Limits To Growth, clearly shows Greenland as part of America and Canada which would the number one block of ten. Is it a coincidence that both Daniel and Revelation use those numbers? I don’t think so. However, is that the reason President Trump wants to buy the land? He might not see it that way, but it fits into the Antichrist’s kingdom if this map is accurate.

We Simply Don’t Know

I have a saying that Bible prophecy makes more sense the closer you are to it’s fulfillment. That might sound like seeing it rain and predicting precipitation in the weather forecast, but it is true. The technology to implement the mark of the beast on a global basis is coming into clearer focus every year with a cashless society not only coming, but already here. The notion of the countries of the world joining together and giving up their national identities even had a trial run with the recent pandemic. So is it folly to look at the Club of Rome’s map dividing the world into ten regions and then see how it makes sense with the prophecies seen in Daniel and Revelation? I’d say it does, but only time will tell us for sure. I do know that the thought of buying Greenland was far fetched even five years ago, but now it is a very distinct possibility. We are living in special days where Bible prophecies are aligning like never before as pieces like this are falling into place. The super sign is still Israel and I can tell you that there God is orchestrating His will and about to fulfill prophecies given thousands of years ago. It is fascinating but it is also a call to action. We need to redeem the time and work while it is still day for the night is coming when no man can work. We may not have the ability to influence world events but we can help point people to Jesus who can change their lives for eternity. Using Bible prophecy is a valuable tool as everyone is interested in the future so use information like this to start a conversation with someone you meet or who you’ve known for years. You’d be surprised by what happens.
