The Prophets Were Right
We All Thought He’d Win
No, not in 2024, but 2020. I vividly recall all the pundits saying that President Trump had his reelection campaign in the bag despite all the attacks and an impeachment attempt. And social media saw the rise of the YouTube prophets like Jeremiah Johnson who I listened to endlessly telling us how Trump would win a second term. But he wasn’t alone as many, many others started hearing from God about that second presidential bid. Everything was going well until March of 2020 and the pandemic was declared. Then came the lockdowns and the mainstream media played their part in pushing the narrative. The economy suffered and businesses closed because no one could go out to them. It was the perfect storm that came against the sitting president, but no one could have seen what else we had in store in November of 2020. Well, most everybody was clueless what Trump and others referred to affectionately as the deep state or the swamp that wasn’t drained as deeply as we hoped for. That election day turned into 4 years of constant battles and for Bible believing Christians it saw a divide over prophecy, prophets, and politics that still exists today. Those who followed the prophetic words about a Trump second term were seen as crackpots and the evangelical community pretty much wanted them denounced and controlled so their crazy delusions wouldn’t sully the real prophets. And Jeremiah Johnson apologized once Joe Biden was declared the president on January 6th of 2021, another day we all remember now, but not for prophetic reasons.
I Still Remember
I know that election day of 2020 unfolded with Trump winning all over the place. It seemed that all the prophecies were true and he was going to have that second term. I also discovered online election sources like Lance Wallnau ministries and the Victory Channel who talked about the battleground states and even heard words about what states were going to get Trump the win. I went to bed thinking that Trump was right where we thought he’d be, but then I woke up hearing about votes that seemingly materialized out of thin air in places like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia. I was doing a weekly Zoom class and I decided to address the words I was hearing from Pastor George Persons and Dutch Sheets. And then a program called Flashpoint started airing and I and others latched onto it as a source of information from a Christian perspective. I also started listening to podcasts like Elijah Streams where prophets were getting out the words they were getting about what was happening in America and Canada. Dutch Sheets started a podcast called Give Him 15 where Sheets would encourage us with Biblical messages that often included prophecies he received or others received from God, one of which pointed to the schemes to take the White House that talked about those in charge to even have a plan to stop God. Of course, the dream ended with their plans being thwarted and all involved being arrested.
It Was A Wild Ride
Many of us got on the prophetic roller coaster ride of how Trump would get back to the White House with the ups and downs, twists and turns, and somehow we kept thinking the ride would end with a Supreme Court ruling here or a court case there. At each turn we were jerked to the left instead of the right. We rose to the top of a hill hoping that the next big exposure was coming whether it was the release of the Kraken or a legal case brought from a band of trumpet playing brothers. All fell flat and we left once again going down another deep dive of depression until the next offer of hope. Trump was supposed to come back this way or that way. It would be that Vice President Pence would ask for the votes to be investigated on January 6th which he didn’t and on that same day a peaceful rally in Washington, DC became something far worse, not because of the good people who came, but because of yet another deep state plan that saw attendees arrested and who are still in the DC Gulag years later. Yet the multitudes of prophetic words kept telling us the exposures were coming and when they did, the rightful president would be right back where he should have been all along and the man in the White House would be deposed. We saw the rise of what would be named the Reawaken America tour where people who simply wanted their country back learned about how it was taken from them in so many ways and how they could get it back. I went to one in Nashville and it was a tad overwhelming in a good way. But after all of these things and much, much more, Trump was still not president as prophesied. And the prophets who kept telling us he would be were being laughed at more and more. We who still believed that God would put the 45th president back in the Oval Office were deemed to be blind to how things always worked. We were bad for Christianity.
But Then
After having our hopes dashed of the deep state finally coming to justice over and over again leading to President Trump going back to the White House before 2024, on November 5th he was reelected as part of the normal election process. There was no need to vanquish the deep state to do it either. And yet, we may need to take a look at those prophetic words again to see that God did answer our prayers and continues to answer them, but not in the way we thought. I always say that prophecies make more sense the closer we get to them being fulfilled and every day since the election there are signs that the swamp will be drained as the prophets told us. I hear people who are probably not Christians who are taking aim at the people who schemed and plotted to control us and the world and this time they have the positions to actually take them on. The lawsuits and investigations that were brought against Trump are falling left and right and the people who brought them realize they are next.
But Wait, There’s More
People in charge of the pharmaceutical companies are panicking with one CEO resigning as five others held an emergency teleconference with a lawyer confirming their widespread panic. And Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci have both been in contact with pharmaceutical executives multiple times in the past 48 hours. The prophet of the World Economic Forum, Yoval Noah Harari stated that a Trump election would essentially be the death knell for the one world government movement. Russian President Putin said this:
"The moment of truth is coming. The previous world order is irreversibly becoming a thing of the past. One can say it has become a thing of the past."
New York City has announced it will no longer provide vouchers to illegal immigrants to pay for food using taxpayer money. Trump has already called Ukrainian president Zelensky to end the war there and Putin said he is ready to talk to Trump as well. The European Union says it will purchase oil from the United States over Russia after Donald Trump's election victory. New York City has announced it will no longer provide vouchers to illegal immigrants to pay for food using taxpayer money. And Clinton Foundation CEO Kevin Thurm announces his resignation immediately following the election results. I’m certain that people realize that there is a new sheriff in town and that their days of being in charge are ending. The proverbial rats are jumping ship. It appears we had the exposures happening to get Trump back in office when God is doing the other way around. But the point is that the prophets were right not because they are special but because they are hearing from God, after all.
The Church Needs To Apologize
Yes, I said it. Evangelical leaders who demanded that these men and women of God repent and submit to their scrutiny (I’m looking at you signers of the propheticstandards.org) should issue a public statement that they were wrong to criticize these servants of God and repent of even thinking it needed to be done. I know that there have been abuses of the titles of prophet and apostle and those who espoused them are not to be followed, but God did establish the offices as we see in Ephesians 4:
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ… (Eph 4:11-12, KJV)
Some think the order of the list is more important than it should be and I tend to agree. But the point is that God didn’t give the Body of Christ only three offices, He gave us five. Prophets are still needed and I think even more needed in a world where God’s voice is in danger of being overtaken by false prophets shouting to a world without discernment. A large dose of honor should be heard from the pulpits of the churches for these men and women who put themselves in the line of fire simply due to their obedience to speaking what God told them. Will they be perfect? No, but they should be heard and respected. I never doubted them even when I didn’t see things happening like I thought they would. I think that’s called faith.
