Israel At War – Day 363
Coming Prophecy Fulfillment
IDF Takes Out Child Killer
Many terrorists are being eliminated by Israel and one that they hit was responsible for killed 12 children earlier this year as we are told by a report from The Times Of Israel:
The Israel Defense Forces on Thursday stepped up its offensive on southern Lebanon, warning it was determined to stop Iran from resupplying the Lebanese terror group with arms through border crossings and promising that it would keep Hezbollah out of the southern Lebanon border area for the future.
Stopping Hezbollah from getting more arms from Iran is important. And taking out the man who was responsible for a rocket strike that murdered young children at a soccer field:
The army broadened its ground operation and also conducted waves of airstrikes at Hezbollah targets, including eliminating a top commander responsible for killing 12 children in a rocket strike on Israel earlier in the year.
Hezbollah then hit back:
The Iran-backed group responded by firing more than 200 rockets into northern Israel on Thursday, keeping residents near bomb shelters.
We go back go back to the issue of Iran sending weapons to Hezbollah and get more details:
The IDF on Thursday accused Hezbollah of smuggling Iranian weapons through Lebanon’s Masnaa Border Crossing, which tens of thousands have used to flee to Syria in recent days.
Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, said that since the military struck other border crossings between Lebanon and Syria last week, which were used by Hezbollah to smuggle arms, the terror group began to use Masnaa as its main route for weapon shipments.
In what seems to be a game of plugging holes in a wall where one gets closed and another opens, the IDF continues to damage crossings even as Hezbollah scurries to fic them:
The terror group has also been attempting to repair the other damaged crossings following the Israeli strikes, according to the IDF.
Adraee said that this past week, the IDF struck a truck ferrying “sensitive weapons” to Hezbollah via one of the crossings. The IDF published footage of the strike.
He reiterated that the IDF won’t let it happen even as it demands that Lebanon inspect and return arms shipments back to Syria:
The military warned that it would not allow weapon shipments to Hezbollah via the civilian crossing.
“The state of Lebanon is responsible for its official border crossings and its ability to prevent Hezbollah from [using] these crossings. The IDF urges the Lebanese state to carry out a strict inspection of the trucks passing through the civilian crossings and to return the trucks and vehicles containing weapons to Syria,” Adraee said.
And the IDF vows to take action if Lebanon doesn’t:
“If necessary, [the IDF] will not hesitate to act, just as it has done during the entire war,” he added.
The Lebanese said that they are securing their borders, though.
Not Letting Them Back
We learn from the same Times article that the IDF isn’t going to let Hezbollah take back the ground the IDF is taking now:
Also Thursday, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi vowed the military will not allow Hezbollah to re-establish itself in southern Lebanon.
He stated what we already know is their goal for southern Lebanon and northern Israel ans how they intend to do it:
“Today I met the commanders and troops of the 98th Division and 36th Division, who are fighting in Lebanon, for a very important goal: creating security in the north and returning the residents to their homes after more than a year of being evacuated,” Halevi said in a video statement from northern Israel.
“[To] return the residents, [we must] destroy the terror infrastructure that Hezbollah built near the border to raid our towns on the day that the order is given [and] kill Israeli civilians. We are very determined to destroy these infrastructures and kill whoever is there,” he continued.
Halevi then said something that can only mean that Israel will have to occupy areas all over Lebanon until Hezbollah is eliminated:
“We will not allow Hezbollah to position itself in these places in the future. The severe blows to Hezbollah in all areas, in Beirut, in the [Beqaa] Valley, in south Lebanon, will continue,” he said.
Halevi said that Israeli troops in Lebanon were “eliminating more and more terrorists, every such encounter ends with us having the upper hand.”
“Our forces are ready and trained more than ever, loaded with experience from fighting in Gaza and their advantage in the combat arena is clear,” he continued.
Halevi congratulated his troops:
He said he reviewed the findings of the recent battles in southern Lebanon in which soldiers were killed. “I saw commanders who despite the fire, pushed forward, led — and troops with them — and bravely overwhelmed the enemy,” Halevi said.
“We will continue to fight on all fronts, in order to bring better security to the State of Israel,” he added.
A Doomed Area
I need to point out a portion of Bible prophecy that is in play after we heard about the IDF clamping down on the borders between Syria and Lebanon. The place that Iranian weapons are getting into Syria is the Damascus airport and if Israel is going to stop them from getting to Hezbollah they need to address that city. It’s no coincidence that the Bible tells us that one of the oldest cities in world history will be totally destroyed:
This is God’s message to Damascus, capital of Syria:
Look, Damascus is gone! It is no longer a city—it has become a heap of ruins! 2 The cities of Aroer are deserted. Sheep pasture there, lying quiet and unafraid, with no one to chase them away. 3 The strength of Israel and the power of Damascus will end, and the remnant of Syria shall be destroyed. For as Israel’s glory departed, so theirs, too, will disappear, declares the Lord Almighty. (Isa 17:1-3, TLB)
Some believe this happened already, but every time you hear the city mentioned in the news it tells us that this prophecy is yet to be fulfilled. But now we know why Israel will destroy this city, something previous generations didn’t know. If the IDF intends to stop the flow of weapons into the area from Iran then taking out the airport and all the places around it would be obvious. And knowing they are storing these weapons all around the city and needing to cut the flow quickly in a time of war, destroying the entire city in one fell swoop makes sense. And it’s exactly what we read in the pages of Scripture, prophetic words written thousands of years ago, long before Hezbollah even existed. Coincidence? I don’t think so. If you want evidence that we are living in Biblical times, I just gave you some. Things are unfolding just as predicted. Add this to you when you pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
