Israel At War – Day 345
Terrorists Are Plotting
“Hypersonic” Missile?
The Houthi rebels in Yemen decided to target Israel with what they call a hypersonic ballistic missile as we read in a report from i24news.tv:
The Houthis launched a surface-to-surface missile from Yemen at central Israel at 6:21 am on Sunday, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
Fortunately, it was intercepted and failed to do much damage:
The military said that the missile "most likely fragmented in midair."
The Houthis were quick to trumpet their success, though:
Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree hailed the missile as a success, saying that a "new hypersonic ballistic missile" targeted Israeli territory. He said it was fired from 2,040 kilometers (1,267 miles) away and flew for 11 and a half minutes.
From the Israeli side, their defense systems worked as expected, but they didn’t destroy it completely in flight as intended. Those who were wounded were from running to safety:
The IDF said that interception attempts were made, with the results under review. Sirens brought millions of Israelis to shelters, with no casualties reported. Magen David Adom said that five people were lightly wounded rushing to shelters.
The IDF gave more details about the situation:
"Fallen fragments of the interceptors were identified in open areas and at the Paatei Modi'in Railway Station," the IDF said. "A fire erupted in an area adjacent to Kfar Daniel. Israel Fire and Rescue Services are currently operating at the scene to extinguish the fire."
The Houthis maintained that this was a phase of their systems and not in retailiation for a previous IDF attack:
Saree said that this was the fifth phase of the Houthi attack on Israel, in solidarity with Hamas's war on Israel in the Gaza Strip. Houthi sources said that this attack was not a response to the Hodeidah attack conducted in July by the Israeli air force, which was in turn launched in response to a deadly Houthi drone that hit Tel Aviv.
Other news report show that the Houthi terrorists aren’t through with attacking Israel.
There Will Be A Response
In his government meeting Sunday, Prime Minister Netanyahu let everyone know that there will be a military reply as we read in another article from i24news.tv:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on Sunday at the opening of the government meeting about the missile fired from Yemen at Israel in the morning, and touched on the situation in the north.
He said this about all terrorist attacks and then let people know that the Houthis will pay a cost for what they did:
"The current situation will not continue," Netanyahu said. "We will do everything necessary to safely return our residents to their homes."
Regarding the Houthis in Yemen, Netanyahu said that "they should have already known that we exact a heavy price for any attempt to harm us."
He specifically reminded the Houthis that there is recent evidence of the last time they attacked Tel Aviv:
"Anyone who needs a reminder is welcome to visit the port of Hodeidah," Netanyahu said, referring to the extensive Israeli attack against Houthi terror targets in Yemen about two months ago.
The PM then talked about the challenges they are facing:
"We are in a multi-front battle against Iran's axis of evil that strives to annihilate us," Netanyahu continued. "Anyone who attacks us will not escape our arm's reach. Hamas is already learning this through our resolute action that will lead to its destruction and the release all our captives."
Netanyahu then pivoted to the overall fight letting us know that the recent Hamas resurgence in the north will not last:
Despite months of criticism for allowing the northern border to keep on being under the threat of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Netanyahu stressed that the current situation will not continue.
"I visited the north," he said. I listen to the residents of the north. I talk to them and with the heads of authorities. I see the distress, hear the outcry. The current situation will not continue. I am committed to this, the government is committed to this and we will not settle for less. We will do this thanks to the bravery of our soldiers, and from unity within us, as a beleaguered nation that stood up to our enemies to ensure our future."
In the last few days the different war fronts have seen an uptick in action. And I predict that an all out coordinated attack against Israel could be on the horizon, possibly on or close to the October 7th anniversary. It would be a natural goal for Iran and its proxies to take another bite of the terrorism apple.
Houthis On The Move
The Houthis are hinting that they are preparing for an all fronts attack with one report actually saying that they are deploying troops to Syria as we also see in an article from i24news.tv:
A Houthi source confirmed the arrival of Houthi fighters from Yemen to Syrian territory, according to reports.
The confirmation comes after a Syrian source told i24NEWS' Hebrew channel that the Iran-backed Yemeni group was on its way to Israel's border with Syria in the Golan Heights.
A source from of all places, Russia seemed to confirm that the terrorists from Yemen are upping their game:
The Yemeni armed group claimed that "this is a prelude to a new phase of escalation against Israel." The Russian Sputnik news agency said that they had moved into Syria.
"In recent days, Houthis from Iraq arrived in the south of the country - to open a new firing front - using drones against Israel," the source told i24NEWS last Wednesday.
Jordan came up in the report which only proves that to eradicate the constant terrorists threats, Israel may have to deal with Jordan, Yemen, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas:
"The Houthis are on their way to the borders of the Golan and there are tunnels for smuggling from Jordan," he said.
He also revealed during his speech that during the smuggling operation from Syria to Jordan through tunnels guarded by the Iranians, an operation similar to that taking place in Gaza, the purpose of smuggling weapons is to deliver them to the West Bank and to undermine the government in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Russian sources said they were infiltrating from Iran instead:
Russian news outlets, on the other hand, claimed they were arriving from Iran.
So they are all connected and working together just as we see in the lead up to the Psalm 83 war:
Arms smuggling from Syria to Jordan and from Jordan to Israel is a well-known Iranian strategy in Israeli defense circles. According to the official, "it is going exactly as in the Gaza Strip, because under the Jordanian border there are tunnels used by the Iranians to smuggle weapons that reach the West Bank and elements in Jordan working to undermine the rule of the Hashemite royal family."
Israel knows all about this:
The source said that some in Syria have informed Israel about the tunnels, which are used by Iran via Hezbollah despite guards stationed at crossings.
"They come in 4x4 vehicles loaded with weapons and stay for a specified period in these areas, and then the vehicles return empty," he said. "There are Jordanian officers and Jordanian tribal elders who collude with the smugglers in exchange for huge sums of money paid to them by Iran and Hezbollah."
So now we have a building terrorist organization with tentacles reaching into all the surrounding nations, an organization that needs to be dismantled. Bombing won’t slow them down. Troops will need to deal with the tunnels and that will mean that Israel will have to occupy these areas until it is safe. This is just as the Bible prophecies will happen if anyone cares to listen.
