This Is Surrender
When I heard about a deal being reached between the US and Iran I was skeptical. I always am with any negotiations with the current Iranian regime and for good reason. They and their proxies always make deals only to break them when it suits them. I’ll come back to that later, but for now we have information about the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which was provided to us by a report from Bloomberg News and detailed in a summary by Amir Tsarfati on his Telegram channel:
Bloomberg has just released the full text of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. It is far worse than most people imagined.
Tsarfati then makes a huge statement:
In fact, it is even worse than the Obama deal.
That’s saying a lot since many of his followers loathe the Obama/Iran deal where he gave the Ayatollahs 1.3 Billion dollars which they surely used to fund their weapons programs in Iran and throughout their proxies. Various quotes from social media by US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance say that Iran can have ballistic missiles because other nations have them among other things. If they play nice, they can be welcomed into the Western world again getting all the benefits that come with that. Yes, the same brutal regime that killed 40,000 protesters earlier this year. And yes, the same one that still wants to annihilate Israel and exterminate all Jews. The same sponsor of Hamas that attacked Israel, did unspeakable things to its citizens, took 250 hostages and treated them inhumanely for the majority of their time in captivity is being given a get out of jail card. Tsarfati gives us the money quote with this:
It makes you wonder whether someone who wrote The Art of the Deal ever bothered to read it.
The Devil Is In The Details
I like saying that God is in the details, but in this case the original saying fits. Tsarfati lists what is in the MoU:
According to the memorandum published by Bloomberg, Iran gave only two things:
▪️ It agreed to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.
▪️ It issued a declaration - yes, only a declaration - that it will never produce nuclear weapons.
That’s it folks. Iran will allow the Strait of Hormuz to reopen meaning they will get their goods out and what they need to rebuild their economy in. As for the nuclear program, Iran is only saying they won’t make nuclear weapons. And they can be trusted now when in the past they secretly did the opposite. So what did the US agree to in exchange? Let’s see:
The United States, meanwhile, gave away everything else:
▪️ A commitment to remove all sanctions on Iran.
▪️ The lifting of the blockade.
▪️ The establishment of a $300 billion rehabilitation fund for Iran.
▪️ An end to the war in Lebanon, including commitments made on Israel’s behalf.
▪️ Immediate exemptions for Iranian oil exports.
▪️ The release of frozen funds.
▪️ Approval through the UN Security Council.
That’s mind boggling for a nation teetering on total collapse to get all that. Tsarfati concludes by noting the simplicity of this terrible deal:
We all know the value of Iran’s declarations regarding nuclear weapons. In fact, the regime has been making the same public claim for years, so there is nothing new here. In other words, Iran’s only tangible concession was reopening the Strait of Hormuz - effectively proving that its newest strategic weapon works remarkably well. Reading this memorandum, one gets the impression that Iran drafted the agreement and simply handed it to the Americans for signature.
The United States surrendered completely.
It pains me to say it, but he’s exactly right. In that past this would be just a smoke screen for military action because Iran would always do something foolish to take advantage of any agreements. I don’t see that happening this time. However Israel is adamant that they will deal with Iran regardless of any outside help. It looks like it really will be Israel finishing the job.
