Scratching Your Head
Before I dig into the stated deadline for the US opening up the military floodgates on Iran I just want to address the responses to US President Donald Trump’s infamous social media post on Easter Sunday. It was on his Truth Social account of Apr 05, 2026, 7:03 AM and said this:
"Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F***in' Strait, you crazy b*****ds, or you'll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP”
I sanitized it for you, but the foul language seems to be what a lot of Christians are decrying. To be fair, I understand their concerns, but these same believers put up with such profanity more and more in the media they ingest. Why is Trump suddenly held to a higher standard? Previous presidents used this profanity and worse all the time. The difference is that we have the ability to see it day in and day out because of social media. I would prefer he not publicly use this language, but I think many are missing the point. He’s not aiming this at us. He clearly wants the Iranian leaders to know he means business and I don’t think even one part if it wasn’t planned carefully in advance. Leaders in the past were most foul but they kept it hidden from the general public. This isn’t the world we live in now like it or not. One thing is clear, you know exactly where Trump stands on this and other things. And now he posted another telling post we need to address.
An Amazing Rescue
According to an article from CBN.com the rescue of the two US pilots was
As President Trump's deadline approaches for a ceasefire with Iran, U.S. officials revealed more details of the dramatic rescue of two U.S. servicemen who ejected from their downed aircraft. Last Thursday night, the U.S. F-15E fighter jet went down inside Iran while on a mission as part of Operation Epic Fury.
Trump update everyone on the rescues:
In a press conference on Monday, the president revealed, "Both members of the crew ejected from the aircraft and landed alive on Iranian soil. I immediately was asked to make a decision. I ordered the US armed forces to do whatever was necessary to bring our brave warriors back home, a risky decision, because we could have ended up with a hundred dead as opposed to one or two."
One US administration official stated just how difficult the operation was:
C.I.A. Director John Ratcliffe said it was "comparable to hunting for a single grain of sand in the middle of a desert."
The rescue effort included 155 aircraft, dozens of soldiers on the ground, and a C.I.A. deception campaign.
Trump built on the deception factor:
Trump explained, "We were bringing them all over, and a lot of it was subterfuge. We wanted to have them think he was in a different location because they had a vast military force out there, thousands, thousands of people were looking. So we wanted them to look in different areas."
He noted that the rescuers were in seven different locations, confusing the enemy.
The US president was quick to credit God for helping the operation:
"So in a breathtaking show of skill and precision, lethality and force, America's military descended on the area – the real area – engaged the enemy, rescued the stranded officer, destroyed all threats, and exited Iranian territory while taking no casualties of any kind," Trump related. "When you go to these areas, you don't come out like we came out. God was watching us."
Another Trump cabinet member made a connection to divine intervention, one the second airman also brought up:
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the downed airman scaled rugged ridges while being hunted by the enemy and evaded capture for more than a day.
"Iran’s military is embarrassed and humiliated, and they should be," he declared.
Hegseth said of the airman, "When he was finally able to activate his emergency transponder, his first message was simple, and it was powerful. He sent a message, ‘God is good.'"
Hegseth then made a Biblical example, one some Christians weren’t happy about:
Hegseth drew a parallel between the airman's journey and the Christian holiday weekend.
He observed, "In that moment of isolation and danger, his faith and fighting spirit shown through. You see, shot down on a Friday, Good Friday, hidden in a cave, a crevice all of Saturday, and rescued on Sunday. Flown out of Iran as the sun was rising, Easter Sunday. A pilot reborn all home and accounted for a nation rejoicing. God is good."
A Civilization Will Die
Going back to Trump’s Truth Social platform he posted this today:
A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran! Apr 07, 2026, 7:06 AM
This post is a little harder to parse since Trump likes to communicate in broad terms and I’ve seen people post that he intends to kill the Iranian civilization and we need to be outraged. He has no intention of doing that and really, he doesn’t have the ability to do it unless he drops nuclear bombs all over the nation, Oddly, these people have no problem ignoring the Ayatollahs saying they would do the same thing to Israel and America is they got nuclear weapons, but I digress. When read in its entirety he is talking about ending almost 50 years of radical Islamic rule once and for all but haters gonna hate when Orange man posts anything. Regardless, if no deal is reached, and it doesn’t look likely one will be, the current regime is going to be hit very hard with even what’s left of the top leaders in Iran saying they are ready to die for their cause. Going back to the CBN.com article we’re told this:
Meanwhile, as time is running out for a ceasefire agreement, Iran has rejected Trump's 45-day ceasefire plan and says it wants a permanent end to the war without making any concessions. Hegseth announced on Monday that it was the largest day of U.S. strikes to date in Iran, and Tuesday would be even more intensive. The White House set a deadline of 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time to open the Strait of Hormuz.
"The entire country could be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night," Trump warned.
Israel is warning Iranians to prepare for the attacks even as they struck Iran’s military sites. As we pray for this next military attack we need to pray for the Iranian people who will be left. I don’t see how it won’t happen. And it’s just hours away, 8 pm EST to be exact.
