Too Long
Before I get into the news coming out of Israel on the two year anniversary of the October 7th massacre by the barbarians from Gaza I want to say that anyone accusing Israel of being genocidal and brutal only needs to see footage made by Hamas themselves to see who are the evil people here. Need I remind us that Hamas ripped babies from mother’s wombs while their loved ones watched. The beheaded people and smiled as they did it. They put babies in ovens to burn them alive. They raped women and children and even molested babies. All of this is verified by the savages themselves. They videoed it. They celebrated it. They paraded the dead naked bodies of women in the streets of Gaza to cheering crowds. No one can credibly deny what I’m telling you. Israel has 47 minutes of footage too graphic to show. Keep all this in mind as they try to negotiate ways to live and get terrorists serving large sentences to join them for the release of people they took as hostages two years ago. Captives they tortured, women they sexually abused and starve them to this very day while they eat lavishly in front of them. These are not good people. They are evil people whose goal is to kill every Jew and wipe Israel on the face of the earth. And it’s taken too long to end this war. If Israel was really genocidal this would have been over on October 8th. Justice must be served. And these innocent Jews must be released or rescued and Hamas and all terrorists attacking Israel need to be defeated never to threaten them again.
Is A Deal In Place?
A great deal of the media seems to be trumpeting that all sides are in agreement and only the details need to be hashed out. You don’t need to dig too deeply to see that Israel and Hamas are nowhere close to agreeing on the major points in the Trump deal. Let’s just compare the three main points from them. Israel demands the hostages all come back at one time. Hamas wants to stretch out the release of them. Israel demands that Hamas disarm and Hamas says they will never do that. Israel demands that Hamas leave Gaza permanently and Hamas wants to stay in power in Gaza after the war ends. Where is the agreement? I certainly don’t see it. And the deal Trump offered was supposed to be a take it or leave it one and not the beginning point for a deal as Hamas and Qatar have stated. In short, nothing has changed. The hope is a false one, a mere charade for stalling by Hamas and its Arab allies. We see more on why I say this in an article from World Israel News:
As Israeli and Hamas delegations head to Egypt to negotiate the details of a sweeping U.S.-led plan to end the two-year war, Hamas faces a stark choice: accept a deal that would begin with the near-immediate release of all Israeli hostages and culminate in its eventual disarmament, or face the alternative—a renewed, full-scale Israeli military campaign aimed at forcibly removing it from power in Gaza.
The Trump plan ostensibly has the support of the major Arab nations. As expected, the fate of the hostages is the key:
Brig. Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser, director of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS) and former head of the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate’s Analysis and Production Division, said during a Sunday call organized by the Jerusalem Press Club that the first test of the plan will come in the context of the hostages.
“Is Hamas going to release all of them in the time frame decided upon, or not? This will give us a sign of the extent the supporters of Hamas are keen in putting pressure on Hamas to make sure that it is coming up with the implementation of the plan,” said Kuperwasser.
“I think that Hamas understands that if they are not going to deliver, the alternative is what was just about to happen: Israel is going to get a green light from President Trump to finish the job, as he was describing it, and get Hamas out of power in Gaza by force. And this alternative is not very attractive for Hamas,” he added.
Kuperwasser like myself doesn’t believe that Hamas needs months to find the hostages:
Kuperwasser assessed that Hamas has the capability to locate and release all 48 remaining hostages—20 living and 28 bodies—within a few days.
Take It Or Leave It
As I mentioned earlier, the plan was presented so that the only choice for Hamas is to approve all of it or not approve all of it. There is no wiggle room, just figuring out how it is to be implemented:
The plan itself, he stressed, is not open for negotiation. “The plan is the plan. You either approve it or disapprove it,” he said, noting that it is supported by many Arab and Muslim states.
The problem for Hamas is that by accepting all the points they are admitting defeat:
While Hamas would secure the release of hundreds of high-level terrorist prisoners, accepting the deal would amount to admitting that the Oct. 7 massacre was a catastrophic mistake for which it has paid a heavy price, he argued.
“Giving up control of Gaza is a huge loss for Hamas, and the disarming of Hamas is a major setback,” Kuperwasser noted. The plan is performance-based, not timetable-based, said Kuperwasser. All of its clauses following the hostage release—including the establishment of a Palestinian technocratic government, the deployment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF), and a massive reconstruction and economic program for Gaza—are contingent on Hamas verifiably disarming.
The IDF will also be in charge of security:
Israel, he added, will in any case retain security control over the Gaza perimeter and the Philadelphi Corridor—separating Gaza from Egypt—to prevent the Strip from being rearmed.
Kuperwasser adds that Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt are protecting their own interests by stopping the inevitable defeat of Hamas. They are hardly neutral in this, far from it. And they need the US to meet their own national goals. Handing a Hamas surrender is what they’re offering.
Hamas Is Setting A Trap
One military leader in Israel thinks Hamas is trying to sound agreeable when they are far from it:
Col. (res.) Moshe Elad, one of the founders of security coordination between the IDF and the Palestinian Authority and a lecturer at Western Galilee College in Acre, warned that Hamas is likely setting a “trap” for Israel and the United States, and that its apparent acceptance of the deal is a deceptive maneuver.
He sees Hamas as being desperate for a deal and is lying about accepting it:
“It is clear that if Hamas is willing to release the hostages for only terrorists in return, it is in trouble. It has run out of ‘ammunition,’ and therefore I am doubtful this will work,” Elad told JNS. He pointed out that Hamas has already publicly rejected core, non-negotiable tenets of the plan.
“They have already announced, for example, that Hamas does not agree to demilitarization and the expulsion of its operatives, and that they want to participate in the future control of the Strip—three points out of 20 that are an explicit rejection of the agreement’s clauses,” he stated.
Elad simplified what the terrorists are really doing:
In an interview with Maariv, Elad elaborated that Hamas is trying to create the impression of flexibility while fundamentally refusing to concede on the issues that matter most: its weapons and its power. He argued that the terror group’s goal is to draw Israel into a process that ends the war on Hamas’s terms, allowing it to survive and rebuild, thereby claiming a historic victory.
He warns those negotiating to not let Hamas deceive them. In particular he has some advice for Trump:
Elad cautioned that Israel and its allies should not fall for this ruse, as Hamas’s ideology and long-term goals remain unchanged.
“It seems that President Trump has not yet internalized that in the Middle East, every agreement, every idea, and every negotiation has the character of a Turkish bazaar. What happened during the 48 hours from the time the plan was made public and until Hamas’s ‘agreement,’ is that big words met a complex reality,” he said.
I hate to sound like a broken record, but Hamas isn’t playing by the same rules as Trump and the western world. They never have and never will. The only way this war ends is with total annihilation of Hamas and all these terrorists. Surrender isn’t in their playbook. Trump should let Netanyahu end this his way. Period.
